the pillows are overrated. Alot of people here overrate them. And I'm sick of it.

I have in the past said that they are/were my favorite band (Number Girl aside). Perhaps you do think that they make "magical/majestic/epic/astronomical/timeless", but I don't exactly agree with you. Praising MY FOOT as the best thing since Happy Bivouac (if you have done such a thing, that is), is overrating them. I'd consider TYMT the last good pillows album, with a tie between PML and Little Busters as the last epic album(s) they have done. I noticed that admin guy saying that Runners High was their strongest album. It is honestly their weakest turn out during their rise to fame.

And screw "J-Rock" forums. Too many Waps.

I know you didn't say that. I just mentioned that because it has happened on here as well as on "J-Rock" forums.

And that other forum is kind of right about them being repetitive lately.

damn, no love for Runners High? i thought it was done well and was awesome in itself, making it my second fav album by them. i liked how they experimented with some grunge and the songs they came up with it. i defintiely wouldn't mind them playing that style again

Their guitar and bass are flat, and their drums easy to redo, because they DO reuse them.
Despite how repetitive or not they are, their music is teh lame anyway. And I don't like it.
The first paragraph was just me saying GLAY is not VK
this guy cracks me up^ a Hamasaki Ayumi fan teaching me about lame, repetitve music.
I don't think the pillows are overrated by most people here.
The majority of us try to be realistic in admitting that their recent work doesn't measure up to their peak. Still, though, those who bash their every move as becoming worse and worse are just as bad as those who blindly praise.

edit: For an example, the Gazelle City single was rightly criticized by many IM members for its high levels of suck.

I think someone who happened to be in Japan got it and shared it on Soulseek...

I was thinking...Gazelle City would have made a great video. I think the regular My Foot version + the Atomic bridge and solo would have made a 4 minute win version of the song to make a video for. I could see the video coming out similar to Hajimete no Kokyou de by The Back Horn for some reason, except taking place at night...weird...

Geez... It's nothing to get angry about and waste an afternoon bitching about. Simple little posts like these show more intelligence than arguing like a ninny bitch over opinions.

"I like Smile, it's a good song. It changes pace unexpectedly in the middle. I'd like to see them do this more often."

"Our Love and Peace doesn't really go anywhere, I don't like it."

"The video for Sono mirai wa ima is cool. I remember the Foo Fighters video for D.O.A. had them rotating around, as well. I wonder if they got the idea from the pillows? lol, probably just a coincidence. "

That's all you need to say.
