So I'll be in Japan starting at around the 22nd of this month, and they will be playing in Osaka (which I will be a short and easily traveled distance from) about a week after I get there! The biggest problem being that I'll be there doing missions work, and therefore will have terribly limited funds, so it'll probably work out that I'll be sitting about listening to recordings of pillows music while a supremely incredible concert is ripping along mere miles away.
I suppose I can just watch 9/16 and pretend.
Though I dunno, Sawao was rocking that Alaska jacket during th last US tour, and I AM from Alaska... anybody know an email address that might get forwarded to the pillows eventually? :0) Oh such dreams...

pillows are on a somewhat major label.. but not mainstream.. mainstream bands get a lot of publicity and funding and stuff (like use of a really nice studio, prime-time television time, commercials, etc). From what i've seen.. pillows have been in indie-band and anime magazines, had some radio time, no commercials, they have their own studio above someone's house, and.other things. It may well be that pillows stay low-key by choice - which is what a lot of bands do.. they like the comfort of being like an independent band which lets them create their own music.. although they have time constraints and such. but not as crazy as mainstream.
ok.. back on topic...... I LOVE 'SIGN' and 'KURUMI'. and the three or so songs that Mr. Children featured Sawao on were pretty good~
but arent the mr. children music styles more different from pillows now?.. pillows have gotten really hyper pop lately.. and mr children is mellower..

I've looked for a while but couldn't find anything.
Plus it wouldn't make much sense to simply record a TV commercial.
