For instance: I can't stand when Fun Fun Fun OK! comes on after Vain Dog

DIE!!
Holy Shit. I think I just had a Steven moment. I actually listened to Fun Fun Fun OK! all the way through for the first or seceond time and it's actually really wacky and interesting, I quite like it.

and I have had Smile for like 3 years...

Yeah, same here. Please Mr. Lostman and Living Field are the only other albums I can say the same thing about. Naturally, these three are in constant battle for my favorite.

Oh man, same here. Living Field and Lostman are just amazing.
The problem comes when telling FLCL-tards "Oh, but the pillows have MUCH more than the music that was used in FLCL! Please Mr. Lostman is one of their best albums ever! If you want to buy it, just go online, and order it from Japan! It's only like...$30+shipping....oh wait."

The cost of buying imported pillows albums makes it nearly impossible to hook ROSS-addicts into the greatness that is "the pillows since 1989"

You could just tell them to download it. You know... with this thing we call the "interweb". You'd have better luck asking them to try and download an album in minutes for free then convincing them to buy an album for $30+ based on just your good review. Once they hear the goodness, they'll have enough interest to actually pay money for a genuine album from an awesome band.

I want to buy Living Field soon and get it autographed by the band the next time they stop by the states. It will join my autographed copy of Please Mr. Lostman. I feel bad not having anything for Jun to autograph though.

slsk, no matter how simple we think it is, isn't very "mainstream". Casual listeners wouldn't really want to download another program just to hear a certain band.

and slsk is really the only solution for the range of pillows music.

No shit. :| If they download goddam anime and Visual Kei JRock on the computer, why not check out the Pillows instead of listening to ROSS all the time?

I'd say other than uploading each of the pillows' albums to a major torrent site like MININOVA, the best option for spreading pillows greatness would be simple going on anime forums and such and linking them to this site as well as Soulseek. If they want more info, this is probably the best place to go, beleive it or not.

But! If you are going to upload albums as torrents, I would say do them individually. There are already entire discographies of pillows on torrent web sites, but few flcl idiots want to dl a 700mb file.

buying them is good too, but good luck convincing them to do that.

that's exactly how it was for me. at first i thought i'd be content with jsut downloading the songs, but now i ahve to get the actual CDs. i already own the third eye single, my copy of happy bivouac should be coming in next week, and i'll probably pre-order my foot as soon as i get my next paycheck.

but as for downloading the songs, check out makenshi radio. seriously, everything is on there. just check out the last post in the "Traders" thread in this board to learn more about it. i got pretty much all the acoustic mp3s on there, some vids, plus plenty of live mp3s.

I only own Penalty Life, but I preordered MY FOOT about a month ago from HMV. I encourage you kids to do the same.

I do plan to buy the rest once they become available in the Shits...I mean States. 8)
