You can't have a pillows song with out a little bit of feedback, it just wouldn't be the same.

yeah, when manabe switches on the big muff or something, I think it's a bit feedback heavy on the amp, and when the strings aren't covered he gets that beep. Makes sense if you think about it.

Theres a nice long one at the end of Nightmare.
I think theres one in White Ash from about the first 10-20 seconds.
No Substance at around 33 seconds.
And on a slightly differnet note, what about the buzzing throughout Kim Deal? When I first heard this song a while back, I thought I had a bad version or something, but I know its just part of the song now.

That buzzing sound sounds more like an organ. It's also present in "I think I can."

I just hope the new album has some songs with some good distortion/feedback.

i don't know if anybody's mentioned this one yet (haven't read the whole thread =D), but there's a sound in swanky street that sounds EXACTLY LIKE THE PAGING SOUND ON SOULSEEK that you get when you have just been sent a message. anybody else noticed it? when i had soulseek up and listened to swanky street, i got confused until i figured it out.

It's worth pointing out Manabe also does the feedback thing in the Shibuya-AX version of Rush. He's probably just holding his guitar up to the amp for a moment to get that effect. Many other bands have used that same effect.
