Maybe Sato and Manabe just wanted to smoke and maybe Sawao doesn't feel like dying. Maybe he eats junk food and drinks tons of coffee without brushing his teeth so his mouth is all metal, not from smoking.

Sawao doesn't smoke. If you could see him trying to fake it in Colors of Life, you would understand what I'm talking about. Also, I have NEVER seen him smoke other than that. Even when Sato and Manabe are lighting up, he never does.

The reason why Manabe smokes is because Bob Marley smoked; but since being caught with weed in Japan is a far worse crime than anything in the world, he wanted to play it safe and sticked to regular smokes.
Maybe Sato smokes because all the Clash members smoked.

flyp didn't mention cigarettes. T_T pot is much worse..specially cuz Japanese are known to use milder cigarettes. Flyp mentioned a few other things that he didn't report here. Idunno.. I asked some other people who were chatting that day, but they don't seem remember.

in the Delicious bump tour in USA DVD, Jun's smoking and sawao takes the cig from him and he smoke for the camera but as a joke i think, hes like laughing and yeah, doesnt look like hes used to it.
