I just watched the first DVD!! on my PS3!!! on and HDTV!!!! in 1080p!!!!1

The production quality on this dvd was the highest to date from the pillows. Filmed with HD cameras that had a high hz frequency, they could have easily released this concert on a blu ray.

The concert itself was awesome, a good mix of the new and the old. there were like 4 encores, the crowd and the pillows were really in tune. It was great.

What did you guys think?

What did you guys think?[/quote] You know, a DVD is not 1080p, even if you play it on a 1080p TV. The shows could have been filmed in HD, but the DVDs don't show it.

What program did you use to burn the DVD? (I used imgburn, its free and does everything pretty much for you)

If the quality isnt that good, it could be multiple things. if you burned it onto a single layer 4gb dvd, then your picture and sound quality has been compressed. Use a dual layer dvd to avoid any compression.

What kind of DVD player are you using? can it upscale images to 1080p? 720p?

How is your dvd player connected to your tv? standard composite cables, component cables or HDMI?

Is your TV an HDTV?

All of these factors come into account in terms of quality.

True, the DVD isnt at 1080p, but my PS3 can upconvert DVD's to 1080p. upconverting is a pretty cool technology. what it does is that it expands your image to meet 1080 lines of resolution, and the tech guesses what colors should go into the gaps after the expansion. it's definitely not as good as blu ray, but it is still quite good for a medium that can barely hold 1/5 of data compared to a blu ray. (8 gb's [DVD] vs 50 gb's [BD])

whoa, thanks for that huge reply, but i should have specified first that i didn't even watch it on dvd/burn it, but rather played it on VLC player directly after connecting all 16 iso files...

The quality should still be good if it being played on your computer.

What is size of your screen? the resolution? the aspect ratio? What graphics hard is your computer using? If its a desktop, what kind of cable do you have connected to your monitor?

There are still many factors that come into play.
