I just realized that Sawao not having a computer negates the credibility of that crazy schizo girl's LJ from awhile back. You know, the one who claimed she talked with Sawao several times via ICQ.
i think i remember something like that. what a bitch that girl is.

I would have mentioned nine miles to manabe - he's my total hero.
Yeah, I wouldn't give out his email address, because all of a sudden even a few english emails from fans he doesn't know would sort of like, throw him off. Manabe was awesome, We kind of did that hug handshake thing after the show was said and done.
I wouldn't mind Manabe's e-mail address, but I take the word "personal" very seriously.
I suggest you do the same unless you clear it by him first, Flyp.
Aye, I have no intention of giving it out, sorry guys ^^; Prolly shouldn't have mentioned it... >.<

Flyp, might I suggest you give that email address to NO ONE! I"m sure if he wanted other people to have it we would post it on the BBS or something.
EDIT: Looks like you beat me to it. Good thinking.

I already am. Swanky Street is such an awesome song. That and Hybrid Rainbow and Shiroi Natsu are some of their best more serious songs.
Sawao said his English "not very good, but my brother, my brother english good" and I said "aa, Hidetoshi-san?" and his face lit up. I quickly followed with "Spiky Brothers!" And I swear, Sawao nearly squealed when I said that, he was happy that I knew about that. I also mentioned Coinlocker Babies, and Manabe was impressed. Sadly, the rest of my pillows knowledge went FFFSSSSZZZT out of my brain, because, you know, i was sitting across from Manabe and next to Sawao of the GODDAMN PILLOWS AAAAAAAAAH!
Dude. I so would have mentioned The Potato Chips.
That would have scared Sawao straight.

Man, Swanky Street? Color me envious.
Regardless, I have a couple of pics now. Here's the pic of me (about to faint) with the band. Suzuki kind of looks retarded in this picture.. :p

And here's terra's pic of me....

I am encirculated in red. I might look like someone kicked me in the jewels, but I'm just rockin'.

Wow, that's crazy. Yeah, this is Chris, I had no idea you liked the pillows! Have you become a fan since I moved away, or were you a fan the whole time and we just happened not to mention it to each other? >.<

I was skimming through the massive amounts of posts while I was still in NY, but I just got back home so I'll post my Piano's show experience here since it was MY first.
Looking back though, awesome pic Terra, I didn't realize that was you the first few times I saw it. I also sported my 916 shirt for Piano's, I think I can say we're possibly the only 2 people in America that own this shirt:

Manabe and Sawao were standing around after most the people had bought their merch and left the place, so no one was really coming up to them or anything and they were just standing there. The singer from Future 86 was talking to Sawao so me and my friend approached Manabe, gave many thanks and he was super happy and thankful. At one point I was gonna go to their Okayama show and got tickets for it, but didn't make it and we were trying to explain it to him but he didn't understand; so we're both scrambling on how to say "february 11th" in japanese... but no luck, lol. He's the raddest guy ever though, and I have to say that at Piano's and then at the Knitting Factory is the most happy I've ever seen him on stage, at least in comparison to the dozens of live videos I've seen of them before. It just brings me so much joy to know how excited they are about playing here.
But going back to the shirt though; after we talked to Manabe and were leaving, I was looking back and their tour manager guy had out his camera and I waved to him, kinda like "hey, it was awesome dude", and then he raises his camera and points to me. I was like, oh shit... yes yes sir! and run back over to fully expose the shirt to him. And now I'm imagining if they end up making some sort of video about the tour, or post about it online or whatever, that there might be a picture of me wearing that shirt. Or hell, even if it's just in one of their scrapbooks.... man, that is unbelievable.... ok, enough fan-boying, haha.
I took a lot more film pictures of the actual show, I was stand 2cm away from the headstock of Jun's bass... so I think they should turn out pretty awesome. I'll post some up when I get them developed
