I know it's his second language, but the part of the song that bothers me is the engrish "scarecrowaw". Maybe it just gives the song more style.
I think it's adorable*. And no, I'm not being all lovely on Sawao -- I just happen to find his Engrish really charming.

*yeah, I just used that word.
Nah it's adorable, but annoying too.
Kind of like that little puppy that won't stop barking.
Yeah songs like Mole Town Prisoner and Moon Marguerite have amazing lyrics.
Mole Town Prisoner, Rookie Jet, Super Trampoline School Kid, etc. don't coun't becasue they're supposed to be WTF...they're just fun songs.

EDIT: I just listened to it again, and thought of how cool it would be cool for them to paly live with an orchestra like AKFG.

Rookie Jet just might be the most fun song ever. The lyrics are fun. I don't care if they're not deep.

Bubbletown's lyrics I thought were stupid at first. Then I read them and thought a little about it...they're good, very cool. I remember my brother saying how random the title and the song was, but I don't think they're random at all. They're neat—a little funny, sure (Sawao obviously had fun coming up with all the animals and adjectives), but neat. It's all satirical and such. It's a great song.

Yeah, but most of them are in Japanese. I'm talking about ENGRISH.

Definately Ronk'n'roll sinners then.

When I first heard it, I mistook some of the lyrics

Anyone, on-topic...

Does anyone have any ideas about the inspiration behind the PV?

Totally. And the English is actually quite good, too.

This part, especially, I love:

It rained for seven days running
Fortune turned against me
This runner lost his way
Oh yeah, Breeder, can you scold me?

It rained for long days running
It's getting colder day by day
The soldier asked for leave
Oh yeah, Waiter, tea for one, please

The lyrics?

I don't know...but it fits. I mean, it fits the mood, and it works with the lyrics.

In Rain Brain, I really like the comparison of a person's brain to a tree's fruit, and I think it's funny to suggest that, because our brains are deteriorating after a certain age, Sawao says, "I consider myself dead," much like a plant that no longer bears fruit.

About the PV... I just found the fiddler theme to be pretty odd, and I was wondering if anybody had any inclinations about what that might be alluding to.

I agree, it's clever and cool. I don't have the time now, but I might come back and comment more on this later, even though it's off-topic.

I don't know exactly what the lyrics mean (of course), but there is this:
"You can probably hear it, with a nod, the appropriate music.
It may be small, it may seem to be about to disappear, but you can probably hear it."

That's similar to the lines about seeing the light, too. In the video, the "scarecrow guy," as I believe someone called him, plays his violin, alone most of the time. He tries playing it in the city, and a little kid looks back at him, but his mother just drags him along. At the end, animals are all crowded around.

"In the bustle of the falsely hazy town, I am driven away. I feel depressed"

"Probably very soon, probably right in front of my eyes, I'm not alone; I'm not alone."

I know that that's not really a help, because those are just my observations, some obvious ones, and I don't quite know what to make of them.
