Some (most) of the song comparisons in Good Dreams have already been made. The most common are Sono Mirai wa Ima = Last Dinosaur and Tenshi Mitai Ni Kimi Wa Tatteta = Kono yo no Hate Made. I agree with one or two of your other comparisons. Xavier and Rain Brain, loosely, and I think Rookie Jet and Rosy Head. I think that the first and last songs bookending both TYMT and Good Dreams can be compared in terms of feeling and placement on the album. And the fact that they're both all Engrishy.
Lo-fi Boy, Fighter girl and Freebee Honey, I can sort of see. Most of the others I really don't hear the connection. And I think it's a real stretch to say that the similarities are an intentional effort to recapture their earlier days.

Truthfully, I don't really see the connection between Sono Mirai wa Ima and Last Dinosaur...I guess it's just me

I agree Sono Mirai wa Ima has some similarities with Last Dinosaur and it's not just the cover(Sono mirai wa ima) of a Brontosaurus.

I always thought that for some reason Vain Dog and The Third Eye were somehow related.

if it hasn't been said before,
intro: The Scar Whispers ~ Nobody is in Paradise and Sayonara Universe
vocals: Noboranai Tiyou and Sayonara Universe

i think that with noboranai taiyou and sayonara universe, the vocals have a similar tone quality, but the emotion behind them are worlds apart. noboranai taiyou is a bit more just "oh god i feel so emo. wtf" and sayonara universe is more like "oh god i'm gtfo i'm gonna miss this place."
i like sayonara universe a bit more, btw.
kizuato and sayonara universe's intros...that's actually a very good comparison, imo. the style for manabe is smooth and sad and beautiful in both. they feel exactly the same until yamanaka comes in with his discordant chord progression in sayonara universe.
i think that sayonara universe and sayounara daisan wakusei are very similar. the feel, the lyrics, and the emotions are basically the same.

I think there is a relationship in the lyric's with Last Dinosaur and Black Sheep. In black sheep he burning down a city and choosing to leave, and in Last Dinosaur he says:
"Secretly watching over the town
I step about carelessly
Setting fires everywhere
What was the name of that town, anyway?"
I think there are some type of link between the two.

It's funny because it's true? Or maybe you had to be there.
