This album is so dark and serious. This pleases me.

Are there any other songs on this album in particular that you want translated? I think I just did the two best / most important ones, but I'm sure there's something else.

Re: the pillows - TRIAL (Album Discussion)
Aight, I'm back to drop slightly more detailed thoughts about the album now that I've listened to it a few times.
1. Revival - This song is pretty awesome, actually. The riff is edgy sounding, there's lots of cool guitar, and the chorus pays off quite well. Great start to the album.
2. Rescue - Nothing groundbreaking here, but it's pleasant throughout. One thing I'm noticing on this album is a prevalence of rather understated choruses that still work. The chorus here actually brings the intensity of the song down a notch, but it's catchy, and I enjoy the call and response between Yoko and Sawao.
3. Comic Sonic - Meh. More of the same shit of the past 10 years. It's okay, but easily skip-worthy.
4. Flashback Story - I guess I'm one of those people that always loved the pillows' quirky songs from the 90s. This track takes us back to an older sound while bringing in a chorus that fits in tone with the rest of the album. What's not to like?
5. Enter Lugia - Still a much better single than Comic Sonic. Pretty cool. Love the lead guitars.
6. Polaris - A bit of a departure from the previous albums' work, I like this track quite a bit. It reminds me of Jigoku Sensei by Soutaisei Riron, which is a very good thing. Another example of the understated chorus on this album. Also recalls Frontiers for me for some reason.
7. Minority Whisper - Another pretty sweet track. Satisfying in the same way Revival is. Wasn't the outro cool, too?
8. Ownerless GUITAAAAA - Maybe a bit overly long, but this has one of those understated choruses I've been talking about, and I really love it --the melody and the understated sincerity-- in this one. Sawao's voice can be surprisingly beautiful when he sings softly. The solo is p. cool as well.
9. Trial - Ok, hold the phone. What's all the fapping over this track about? The lead riff is fucking obnoxious and, while the verse melody is cool, the rest of the song is, as Sheer might say, boilerplate -- and in a particularly boring way after the great tracks that preceded it. I dunno... maybe the chorus will grow on me more.
10. Ready Steady Go! - They should have ready, steady, gone ahead and chopped this track and maybe Trial off the album. What a waste of a track. If they can manage Primer Beat for a shit album like Ooparts then they could have come up with something better (and more fitting) than this song. This is why we can't have nice albums!
So yeah, overall... pretty good. :] At first I wasn't sure about this "mature" tone, but now I think it works except for a few tracks that drop the ball.
This album is so dark and serious. This pleases me.
I get pleased whenever I notice one their songs being similar to my own situation. Coincidences rock.
Are there any other songs on this album in particular that you want translated? But I'd be just as happy with any of the other songs tbh. Oh, and the translation for Comic Sonic: viewtopic.php?p=133664#p133664Is it accurate? I came across many different ones.

Re: the pillows - TRIAL (Album Discussion)
I cannot, for the life of me, make it through Ready Steady Go again. I really can't. Trial the song is good man. Solid sauce. We've already been over that riff. I was unsure about the riff in the beginning, and sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. Trial also has a bit of a Movement feel to it (very similar guitar work as well). I'd say better chorus and solo plus a more sincere pacing make it better than Movement though... though I think Movement's riff kicks all kinds of ass. I dunno, Polaris sounds good to me, but I can't help but think of "boilerplate" when I hear the chorus. It sounds like such an expected pillows chorus to me. Which is a bit of a let down following stuff like Revival and Energia, which had a little variation in structure and chorus composition. But still, it all works well enough I suppose. Ownerless guitar is growing slowly. I like it waaaaaay more than Brilliant Crown. Uh... Minority Whisper is ace. I like to listen to Emerald City after this one. Good combo. Flashback Story is fun. Comic Sonic is fun too, but I've racked up more flashback listens. Rescue is pretty aight. Revival is a great, great, GREAT. Opening. I fucking loved this from the beginning and still do.

Is it just a transcode? Could you make a legitimate FLAC or ALAC rip (using the actual CD)? I hate to be an audiophile, but I would really like to hear some of these songs in decent quality. I really do appreciate your effort.

Lol I noticed the bit rate immediately. I brought it up with ChubbyRaccoon, but she told me I was being ungrateful.

Aplaca is obviously my biggest fan.
I dunno I didn't pay attention to audio quality here.

Re: the pillows - TRIAL (Album Discussion)
Damn, I didn't even listen to it yet, just downloaded it is all. No one else besides Scarecrow got the album? Would just love to have it in 320 is all. FLAC isn't as big a deal for me.

Re: the pillows - TRIAL (Album Discussion)
I would like to have my music in .flac, but it just takes up too much space. Also, Energy is the best song on the album. Come at me bro.
