didn't notice any moshing harukos lol. there was a pit going on, but that was going on way behind where i was.
as for flame... i heard somebody mention it in the waiting area, didn't hear what the context was though
i just can't get over the fact that i got a little "moment" with the band because of a stupid badge name

maybe, i don't really know. i didn't think of checking for them until i saw the lucky guy with one about ten minutes after the show. i guess this means there could be 4 people i have to hunt down and terminate tomorrow. it's a good thing they sell weapons in the dealer's room area

I was there at the concert. I pre-reged, got my badge on thursday, as well as my ticket, and then came back on Friday. The lines were terrible then, I can't imagine at-con reg on friday. The concert was awesome, despite the anime people and their smell. That and the opening act was one of the worst bands I've ever seen. But, of course, the pillows show was great, and was worth all of the stupid crap I had to do to see it. After the concert, I went to get my copy of White Incarnation signed. When I got to the pillows themselves, Sawao was impressed with the fact that I had White Incarnation. When he passed it to Manabe, his reaction of surprise was great. They had a guy videotaping stuff that was signed, probably for a U.S. tour video or something. I was at the back end of the line, and their surprise makes me very suspicious that I was the only one that night to give them White Incarnation to signed. So I might be in that video. About 90% of the people in the line had either a domestic PL or a FLCL soundtrack to have signed. I saw two Another Morning, Another Pillows holders, about three guys with Smile, and someone with Thank You, My Twilight. Everyone else either had nothing before they got to the merchanidse table, or a imported FLCL soundtrack. I overheard a great deal of ignorance about the pillows. During the show I heard something like "I think they only have like 2 cd's." "They've run out of songs." and other assorted anime crowd comments. Despite the crowd, and the lack of non-FLCL/PL songs, the show was great, probably the best concert I'd ever seen.

I just got back. The concert was great. Sawao did a bunch of leaps and goofy jumps, Sato said something incomprehensible about peanuts, Manabe asked us to put our hands up, and Jun...he was there. Really though, they were all great and very nice to the crowd. I got up in front of the stage, to the right of the speakers. My ears have stopped ringing though. I think I noticed a couple screw-ups, maybe during one life. I wasn't paying attention. I'm glad I went. It was great fun to be a couple feet away from a band I really enjoy, and to get the "she is perfect" pillows in drag t-shirt.

I'll talk to somebody with a good memory for a setlist, but songs included:
blues drive monster
I know you
Crazy sunshine
funny bunny
I think I can
ride on shooting star
Lonesome Diamond(I think)
sleepy head
EDIT: I remembered they played carnival and terminal heavens rock.
a bunch others I can't remember.
a friend who went to both concerts said the set lists varied.
No pictures allowed, but there was a video camera on stage.
??
and the shirt kicks ass.

I doubt it. I think the camera was for the big screens at the sides of the stage.

If it was recorded and ACEN can whore it out and make money off of it? Let's just say it wouldn't surprise me.

the otaku-factor seemed to vary depending on where you were standing. up front where i was there were lots of people who weren't quite treating it like a rock concert, while people were going crazy farther back, but from what heard from my friends in back, very few people knew the PL and the "not quite as popular" flcl tracks.
another highlight of my night - somebody a few feet to my left who, when they started playing carnival, said to one of his friends "This song has lyrics?!" i'm an asshole for it, but i find that funny
oh, and a US concert video would rock. were their previous shows here recorded by anybody there? the number of cameras they had at the ACen show seemed to be more than needed just for the simulcast.
