Re: Good Dreams
This was one of the first albums of theirs I collected, mainly because I remember hearing the single for the first time and thinking, wait, is this Last Dinosaur or what? It was one of the first VIDEOS of the Pillows I saw too. I loved the song so I got the album, and its one of the stranger collections of songs I must say. Heavy Sun could have made the album a little more "heavy" excuse the pun, Lo-Fi etc. is a nice song. New Years Eve I listen to every new years eve hahaha and I love how they actually PLAY it on new years eve This album also sonically sounds different from Penalty Life and TYMT, so did this mark a shift in their recording process or did they start recording digitally with TYMT? Also a general note about this band, pretty amazing that we've had a new CD released with every new year.....2005 isn't THAT long ago and yet Good Dreams was 4 albums ago.

Re: Good Dreams
I use to listen to the Good Dreams demo on the official site with my head on my keyboard. The whole time I would repeat the song. I love the face that there is always a new album every year. Thats whats different about them and other bands, their consistant.

Not to mention those last three chords at the end.

Re: Good Dreams
Honestly, over the last year or so Good Dreams has kind of dropped on my list of albums. I used to hold it in higher regard, but I started feeling PL more and then I always thought that My Foot was just a drastic improvement from Good Dreams. I still love quite a few of the songs on there. You Stood Like an Angel always was a favorite of mine, despite the similarities with Kono yo no hate Made.

Re: Good Dreams
I think Good Dreams is really good. My favorites are:
Sono Mirai wa Ima Tenshi Mitai ni Frontiers Good Dreams
And then the rest of the album is just good. My least favorites would have to be Orange Film Garden and Bad Dreams... I mean I like those songs, but they don't work as well as the others.
The four I mentioned as favorites? Those are fucking gold. And I swear, Tenshi has one of the most engaging lead guitar lines in the history of pillows music.
I find it sad that no one has mentioned Frontiers Also, Giant Flying Forks
Yes, this is one of my favorite album covers. I made a giant version of this cover to use as a poster. This was also the first pillows album I ever got. I got it after their first performance in Chicago. Oddly enough, I had this one before I had Penalty Life. My favorite tracks on the CD, in order, are: Sono Mirai, Good Dreams, Lo-Fi Boy, and Frontiers. I've always liked this album, and I remember it getting some negative reviews in the past. For me, it still ranks above My Foot and Wake Up x3.

Re: Good Dreams
I always thought that "Good dreams tribute to the roosters" was the Good dreams that was in this album. I have never heard the real Good Dreams songs.

Back in the day I thought the same thing... but then I saw the pillows' "Good Dreams" performed live on Youtube (back when that video was still around) and realized I was wrong.
Of course now, I have both versions, and have full knowledge of the entire discography...
