I think I remember reading that Sawao's brother got him interested in music and they would listen to Simon and Garfunkle and his brother would play it on his guitar. Thats all I know.

Sawao should write a biography

The Biggest Buster: Life and Times of Sawao Yamanaka

Its strange that we know nothing about these people personally. They could be pediphiles. Or panty perverts. Why isn't Sawao married? How does his hair fly back in place like that?

Then again it could be because they all don't have lives. They just make music and do nothing else.

Sawao probably doesn't even sleep. He waits.

It is true that Sawao's older brother, Hidetoshi, got him into music. Hidetoshi still follows a solo career in folk rock music. You've probably seen his website before:

http://mypage.odn.ne.jp/home/paper_in_fire/

There is an English section but it really isn't extensive.

In 2000, Hidetoshi and Sawao toured around Tokyo as "Spiky Brothers," where they sang some of Hidetoshi's songs. Unfortunately, he doesn't sell any merchandise from "Spiky Brothers" anymore.

I really like Hidetoshi. He has some very, very meaningful journal entries, he writes a lot, and he is very artistic. There are a few essays he wrote in English, which I really recommend reading. Not much is written about Sawao, but there is a lot about Hidetoshi's childhood, which we can infer Sawao was also a part of.

Uhh... why is this weird? Even popular artists have very little information available.

Sawao's a swinger.. (he was with those 2 girls at King King  ). he has asian hair.. it's thick and unmanageable . Shin is definetly married. Manabe's married.. Hidetoshi isn't i thinks. Jun.. ???..
I think sawao's other brother doesn't have musical influences on sawao.. Kazue Yamanaka (he took some pictures during the delicious bump usa tour). . and yea. =]

i bet those girls were noodles. >__>

they are a somewhat private band... on their japanese bbs, discussions about the band's personal lives are forbidden. but they've probably spoken plenty about their musical history and influences, in japanese interviews that we don't have. shin talked a little bit about how he got started drumming in that one interview i translated...

Yoko has a state mandated restraining order against Sawao. 1000ft at all times. So what about Delicious Bump? Well, Sawao appealed in court. :dizzy:
