My Dad started teaching me to play guitar so I got him hooked on the pillows.
He liked them so much he took me to the 08 delicious bump tour!

I tried showing some songs to my friends. They can' appriciate foreign music. One of them kept insulting them.

"Is this the new song Chicken teriyaki? What about there song carnival *does stupid carnival music*

One of my friends like the cover of video killed the radiostar they did though. I still am the only pillows fan that i know of that live close to me. So it's a good thing :) :) :) :) :) :)
No one will rape the songs.

So I talked today for the first time with this guy whose last name is Yamanaka 8) who's in the same classes as me at the university. I asked him if he listened to Japanese music and he seemed to know something about it and anime as well. We agreed that those visual kei bands suck, which was good for a first approach. He also said that listened to some Japanese punk bands and some other Asian stuff (electronic, I believe).

- Your name's Yamanaka, right?
- Yeah.
- Hm. I'm just asking it because that happens to be the name of the frontman of my all-time favourite band, the pillows. Ever heard of it?
- You mean the guys that made the FLCL songs? I've seen it, it was cool. 'Shooting Star', right?
- RIDE ON SHOOTING STAR! :shred:

That was all. I had never chatted with him before, but I'm seriously considering to burn him a CD. I'll post the playlist here when I have it ready. What if he's a distant cousin or something?

I lol'd.

But yeah, please upload the playlist. Are you going to neglect the newer stuff (which I can totally understand, but would not do myself, personally)? I simply adore some of the material we have on Good Dreams/My Foot/Wake Up!/PIED PIPER

That's almost sig-worthy in my books, metal. I don't know why I found that so funny, but congratulations. You have a knack for unintentional humor anyways.

Lol, good one. I really wish he did that, either I'd instantly die or go "OH LORD PLEASE BE MY FRIEND WHAT DO YOU THINK I WANNA BE YOUR BEST FRIEND IN YOUR LIFE".

I was just imagining yesterday, what if the following dialogue happened?

- Dad, some guy at the university told me today there's a musician called Yamanaka in Japan. Do you happen to know him by any chance?
- Oh. That's your uncle Sawao. The bastard owes me ten bucks. I used to hang out with him and Hidetoshi back in the day. Remember uncle Hidetoshi? That's his brother. Nice fella, by the way.
- OMG

@Tidusauron: No, I'm not forgetting the recent releases. Actually, he asked me the name of their last album after I mentioned that they released a new one this same year. I think I'll pick some stuff from WUx3, maybe one from Pied Piper. It's always a hard task for us hardcore fans, you know.
