Yeah, I'm also one of the people who likes FLCL. I do get irritated with people who don't bother to listen to anything outside that though, since some of my favorite stuff from them came after FLCL.

Is it bad that my favorite Pillows song is Beautiful Morning With You? I was kind of dissappointed with the instrumental when I saw it later in FLCL. I mean, come on. Bass like that?

I don't talk to people in my school that have said anything about liking The Pillows.

Oh, I love FLCL, but when I meet a fan who is just into the songs from that show, I supply them with more music by the pillows.

I think the internet's just full of those high and mighty people who always brag that they heard about a band before everyone else did. They all just want to put out the idea that, "I knew about the pillows before FLCL!" I really don't believe anyone who says it, unless they're Japanese. Fight for your territory, children.

yeah, i learned of the pillows thru flcl, and i now have i'd say about 90% of their non live songs (no hardcopies just mp3s dammit) and to tell the truth, their flcl music isnt their best. i remember when i got into a conversation with another pillows fan about them (sorta) when i brought my speakers to school and tried to match stalker note for note lol. she actually asked me if i liked flcl first LOL but then i started talking with her about pre-lostman stuff... lol also, i might be able to fix that error with time... LOTS of time....

Excuse me, some of their best music is used in FLCL.

Mainly because Funny Bunny, Patricia, Crazy Sunshine, Last Dinosaur, Rush, Blues Drive Monster, and I Think I Can are all completely [b]rocking[/b] tunes.

I'd pick Little Busters, Happy Bivouac, or Runners High
over
Pantomime, Moon Gold, White Incarnation, Kool Spice, or Living Field
any day.
I love all of them (though Moon Gold less so), but there is just some really, REALLY, good material on what we call "The Holy Trinity".

That's a rather reasonable viewpoint, but i don't think that's what is in the minds of those that lash out when their eyes fall upon fl... (someday someones gonna get really pissed at some toothpaste and make a real fool of themselves btw).

Take this thread for example - the picture being so flamed was created by someone who obviously [i]did[/i] make that attempt to discover the rest of their music (despite a foolish mistype), yet it still managed to spark another one of these bloody debates.

Anybody have a good reason that this thread was revived?
