Yeah, some duplicate tracks are different versions (sometimes very different), but they're still the same songs and, at least in most cases, I don't think they should be counted twice. They're just different recordings/mixes/takes of the same thing.
Also, did you think of the hidden songs? secret slogan and Son of a Beach, haha. And those just might be the only two that would count using the above logic. I might be forgetting one.

I didn't bother throwing out duplicate songs, that would require actual work. But my estimate would be somewhere at about 250.

I counted 210 original songs + 2 hidden songs + PROPOSE, Lady Bird Girl, and Scarecrow, which aren't released yet.
When I say "original songs" I mean that I'm not counting Swanky Street (single version) or Live in London, etc...

I like priding myself in having quite possibly the most complete pillows discography. I'm pretty anal about having all tracks being named and numbered correctly. That being said, the actual number would come out to about 230 songs. I'm too lazy to actually go through and double check everything. My pillows playlist shows 238. But it has doubles.

My pillows playlist contains 230, with duplicates.
EDIT:and I have all the main albums give or take 1-2, and 4 singles.
