Post Re: Gear Talk 2.0
Interesting sidebar here, Manabe's oft-quoted OR120 is actaully an OR120M. The 'M' denotes that the amp has a Master Volume circuit, and is quite a bit rarer than the standard 120. It's an original late-70's amp and not a 90's-ressiue as some have speculated.

They are a desireable alternative to the standard OR120 because it's virtually impossible to crank a 120-watt tube amplifier that lacks a Master Volume in anything other than a stadium.

Watched this video again for the first time in a while, and besides the awesome alternative version to Liberty in the beginning, I saw these 3 pedals that I don't think are mentioned in the first post...

They are a Roland Phase II and Roger Mayer VooDoo 1 according to my research.

Post Re: Gear Talk 2.0
I got an old guitar and two old amps to add to this list. They all belong to Sawao.

Let's start with the amps, The first is from the first movement era. The amp that Sawao is using is a Roland Jazz Chorus 120. You can see it in the 90s My Life Returns booklet.

The next amp is from the third movement era. That amp is a Fender Twin Reverb Silverface. You can see it in the Hello, Welcome to Bubbletown's Happy Zoo DVD. You can see it in the background when Manabe is tuning his guitar https://youtu.be/uNNkFPux-jA?t=9m27s . This is from their London visit in 1997 at the The Orange Boot venue. Also, you can see it inside the Little Busters album jacket. The Swanky Street live song that is a b-side to the Another Morning single is from that venue. So you should be able to hear the amp on there as well. You can tell this a silverface by the control panel being shiny and the grillcloth material has a sparkly look to it. It appears to be a 72' model if you count the amount of knobs on the Vibrato channel of the amp. The 72 model contained the Master volume while the 60s didn't. And the clothgrill of the later models had an orange sparkle look to them. You can see it inside the Little Busters album jacket. It appears he's also plugged into the Vibrato channel, I wonder why. I also find it strange that this was the only time we see Sawao using this amp. At this era we usually see him use his Fender Bassman 59 Reissue amp. Why did Sawao used it only once and why was is it only used in London?

I find it not too surprising he used the amps at some point in this era judging by what he was influenced by at the time.

Now for the guitar, this was from the first movement era. That guitar is a black 1983 Japanese Squier SQ Telecaster. You can see the guitar in the Ame Ni Utaeba PV. You can also spot it in the 90s My Life Returns album jacket. The picture I posted comes close to Sawao's.

Edit: It turns out there are two more amps I need to add Sawao's gear:

This one can be seen in the infamous Energy live video from Video On Street series that can be seen on the WOTS DVD. This is a Roland Jazz Chorus 160 the same amp that Robert Smith used with The Cure! You can also see it on the very rare live footage of Henry Verdoux no Shougai video which I believed is from the same venue where Energy was played.

This is A Peavey Stereo Chorus 2x12 combo. This can be seen on the 1991 Hibiya live video where they performed Ame ni Utaeba, Kiss Me Baby, and The Beatles' Come Together. Sawao's has a different color configuration on his Peavey amp having the gray stripe over a blue one, but the way how the speakers show is no doubt the same model.

On the HWBTHPZ DVD, the One Life performance at 7:28, you can hardly make out the (pausing it worked for me) Marshall Bluesbreaker (Reissue?) behind Manabe.

Post Re:
Sawao also used a Peavey Classic 50
Damn, you're so right thinline! Throughout this whole entire time (well at least for their live vids from 1995-1999) I thought he used a Fender 59 Bassman reissue but something didn't seem right about the appearance of his amp matching with the 59 Bassman specs, his amp seems more lighter in color and there's metal grills on the corners of the amp itself. I thought one day I found a picture of a 59 Bassman reissue with the same specs but for some reason I can't find that picture anymore. But I also thought Sawao's amp lacked the countoured shape of the Fender 59 bassman too!

It now makes sense on why he taped up the name of brand and the name of the model in 1997-1999 because he was no longer endorsed by Peavey which leads me to believe that he must've received the amp as an endorsement deal from the brand.

Now there's this brown tweed amp that I saw on a 1992 live vid of Sariban ni Naritai, any idea what that one is?

Upon watching the 1997 Club Kawasaki Citta video performance of Spiky Goose, Manabe is also seen with what appears to be a 1991 Peavey Classic 50 212 (The first productions of the 50s didn't have the model name on the cabinets)
