 Guess what Bushpig's gonna get?
the king of old, outdated computers continues in his quest to retreat as far away into the past as possible with a new addition to his collection.
an atari 800. my uncle's dad has one in his attic with my name on it. it apparently has a shitload of software too.
i am a fool.

You can never have to much out-dated hardware. I found my old sy-quest's. I wanted to see what I had backed up on them, but I couldn't. Apparently scuzzy ports are no longer the prefered method of connection in modern computers.
Now I'll never be able to acess my backed-up copies of spelunx or lemmings. not like I have an OS old enough to run them.

man, i remember pitfall.
dude.. ataris that ran off of floppy disks were so much cooler than those that ran off of carts.. disks held more and you could have a game over like 12 disks (omg alternate reality was ridiculous...)

you poor bastards don't know what you're missing.
half the best games in the world came out before nes. don't get me wrong. i love nes and i especially love snes, but atari games were amazing. and atari systems are more reliable than nes. i have 3 non-working nes consoles. 3! i only have 1 atari 2600. i rest my case.

Not sure how it happened, but we use to have 2 Atari systems and several copies of games that my dad brought home from work (by the boxes. In other words; a shitload. 12 copies of Bomber Man, damn). Sold everything years ago. Worked fine if you had something to hold down the switch.
Thats why theres emulators.
