Anybody playing this? I've been going pretty hard on it ever since it came out. I think I'm doing pretty well.

This user from a facebook thread was kind enough to create a preview video of Let's Play Battleship! (NORMAL)

My friend GlitchCat7 also did a play of Cave-in Chaos!

I got it and played it a bit, but maybe not as much as I would've liked. I think I would've liked it more if you could make more storied stages (like intersected maps with more plot options,) but I guess one advantage to this game is that whenever I go play it, it will have a ton of content. That aside, I wish it was easier to find specific users, stages, etc.

I make as much out of the canvas as I can in most levels, there is still quite a bit you can do. You can put a lot of content into just one level, to the point that 500 seconds may not feel like enough, so I would vouch for the game that with careful planning and conservation of tools you can certainly meet your larger scaled creative goals with just a main and subsection. I don't have trouble with block and object limits, but I would like a tally to see how close I am to hitting them.

Try this one if you want to get your shit slapped by a gauntlet of p-switch rooms. Play with comments on for dialogue from the monty moles and chain chomps. ^_^ https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/47CD-0000-01A7-C013

Some of the comments don't show up well because of limited space in some areas but oh well.

I guess I worded it poorly, because I couldn't think of what I was trying to say, but what I meant was:

I'd like Super Mario Maker more if it were more progression-friendly so people could make their own Super Mario WORLDS, and not just levels. I.e. easy stages first, get you used to the creator's style, etc., maybe add in some text blocks for story, multiple stages so it feels more like a journey and stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen some amazing levels. I think I'd just be more excited to see sequels of this game type, particularly one for Mega Man.

That was disgusting. In such a good way.

Like, damn, dude, that's some serious level design. I dig it.

You certainly could though, Blank, provided you earn enough stars to make a giant campaign live on the server. I've seen plenty of users using the 1-4 system and cranking out progressively more challenging worlds. I only have 15 levels, but at the 300 star benchmark I have a total of 40 available courses that I can have uploaded. So I could probably rake in the stars now if I make some easier worlds to serve as the earlier portions of my "game". It doesn't have a overworld map making function but that's nothing you couldn't make with photoshop. Some more bells and whistles would be dope, don't get me wrong. :) Yeah, I think WiiU should have had more focus on creation suite games like this. It's very user friendly.

I know! That course doesn't give the player any chance to chill whatsoever, it's just a continuous flurry of precise button presses. You can't just "do" that, it's like Olympic training for your fingers and memory just to give it a shot. I beat a couple of that guy's levels but that isn't anywhere on my radar.

I would never dedicate the time to building enough mario skill to do it, but seeing someone tackle something like that is akin to watching an artful dance, to me. Just incredibly impressive haha.
