Guy at work is selling his for a good price. Should I jump on it, hold out for the new xbox, or do something else entirely? |

Nintendo's talking about releasing a new console. I think the next generation will soon be upon us. |
Nintendo's talking about releasing a new console. I think the next generation will soon be upon us.
I doubt it. I read that the ps3 and 360 are going to stay alive for a few more years. Or at least the ps3 is from what I've read. The new nintendo console is going to have graphics close to the ps3 and 360 i think. I would say get it. How much is he selling it for? With what? |

200 bucks, with two controllers, two headsets, a copy of halo reach, and a copy of tales of vesperia. Seem pretty cool to me. |

That's not a lot of info. What model xbox 360 is it? $200 seems way too much for a used xbox with only two games. |
That's not a lot of info. I can get pretty much the same deal on ebay, but this way I save 25 dollars on shipping, And I'm dead certain it works well because I've personally played it for extended periods of time. |

If you're a big halo fan then by all means purchase it. Looking through some ebay listings of the halo reach bundle and at amazon. It sells for a pretty penny. I find it a waste though. A normal xbox + games is enough for me. That will probably be less of what you're goign to pay. |

Make sure the console is a newer model, as the older ones will overheat and RRoD on you. This is why I usually recommend against buying any used 360 system, even from a game store. People often will apply a quick, very short term fix to the system so it will start up, then sell it to a game shop. (the shop will then resell it so some poor person.) |

Halo Reach is really good. If you get it, we shall play. |

Also: Looking forward to it, Alucard. |

Yeah, that's way too much for it. $150, max. I sold mine for $100-130-ish? Can't remember. Just the system, no games. I played mine on and off for almost two years and never had any problems with it at all - bought it refurbished, too. |

A nearly new system with an extra controller and headset as well as two games, and you think 150 is the max you'd pay for it? Ridiculous, lol. Maybe if stuff is in crap condition, but considering a retail price of 50 or 60 per game when they're new plus a hefty 25 to 50 bucks for a controller, 200 dollars is a fine deal. I'd snag that shit. |

Especially with something like an Xbox, where you can't guarantee it will work properly with any degree of longevity, even if you buy it new. Or games or controllers, which would lose at least half their retail value immediately upon purchase. If you're going to buy something used, don't buy it unless you're paying significantly less than you think you would pay for it. |
