Do any other IMers like TV Tropes? It's become one of my favorite websites since I discovered it a while ago. It's a wiki that documents tropes, creative devices used in TV shows, movies, books, anime, video games, etc. Mostly fun, but somewhat informative.

I came across this a long time ago, but I didn't know what it was or care to find out. Cool website.

I find it really lame and boring. I can't believe people spend their time there.

I can't go on TVTropes when I have stuff to do, otherwise I put it off because I can spend hours and hours looking at it.

Same story here H2orowe. I wasted way too much time on TVTropes when I was supposed to be paying attention in class.

I don't understand the point on tv tropes. Seriously. I see it like another wikipedia page where people just add what something means. OMG THE ANIME GUN THEY USED ON FLCL! THEY HAVE USED IT ON ANOTHER SHOWS OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG No big deal. And it's usually just things I noticed while watching the show or things I read at one point or another. I can't imagine someone spending hours there.

I don't remember what I went in for last time but I ended at "Twenty Bear Asses".

Always an adventure!

Well genius if you clicked on the opening link it takes you right to a "What is TV Tropes about" page which is fairly explanatory.

If you like a certain trope, for example mind screw, you could find other shows, books, movies, or whatever with that same trope.

I'm starting to see why this MrkJulio guy annoys everyone so much.

That's what reviews are there for. I don't want to read to go to tvtropes and read the specific thing they used. That would ruin the entire thing for me. EXAMPLE. The show 'scrubs' has an episode where one of the characters passed away. Yet the show never mentions that ONLY near the end of the episode. My brother when he saw that was "Woah!" Yet, I spoiled that for myself and already knew that he was dead. Now why would I want to go about and ruin something for myself? Why can't I just read a recomendation and find out about it myself? And learn about it by myself. Rather then use a website to help me. Are we really that lazy that we have to have EVERYTHING explained to us? Why can't we, ourselves learn and understands things on our own?

*facepalm*

Yeah, I love TV Tropes. It's wonderfully distracting in the same way that Wikipedia can be sometimes.
