I torrented a Watchmen file and want to use one of Rorschach's scenes for my speech. I can't use any of my video players because it can't identify the coding. Any IM'rs here know where to go to download a good video player? Ones that didn't work: Media Player VLC Quicktime itunes PowerDVD |

I have Bitorrent guys, I just wanted to know if there are any Video players that can play the movie that I downloaded. I know what a torrent downloader is, Bittorrent, utorrent.. I can't watch what I leeched. I used Bitorrent to extract the Watchmen torrent. Heres what it said when I tried watching it on Windows player: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. |

99%...maybe closer to 100%...of being a computer guru/power user is knowing how to use Google (and what to use it for). |
99%...maybe closer to 100%...of being a computer guru/power user is knowing how to use Google (and what to use it for).
I could shorten that up to "using Google. For everything." If I want an music album (whether it be obscure Japanese video game soundtracks to more mainstream bands), the FIRST thing I do now is Google: "download nameofalbum.rar" Works. Very often. People could do a lot more with their computers, and have a lot less problems if they'd just run a search for it. It is not difficult. At all. |

rofl I can't believe how hilariously bad the situational humor is in this thread. I feel bad for brye. ![]() Anyway, I know you didn't get a video, but I just wanted to say that, windows media classic will run almost any video format (besides real video) if you have the K-Lite Codec Pack and the anime-friendly CCCP pack, which was made by fandubbers. That's what I use for everything. I used to use VLC, but it's kind of slow and buggy. |

I'm not as comfortable with the internet as most of you guys are, so don't worry. I don't care really. I'm still waiting for the torrent to complete. |
I'm not as comfortable with the internet as most of you guys are, so don't worry. I don't care really.
1) You obviously do care. You cared enough to bother us with your tech question, something answerable with 2.5 seconds of using a search engine. 2) "Comfortable with the internet"? Buddy, you don't have to track down some secret members-only IRC group to get the access codes to hack into Zion. You have to go to www.google.com and type in a few keywords. You could have chosen "play cbr file" "cbr cbz format" "what is a cbz file?" "cbr wont play" "cbr cbz file format" "open cbr," almost ANY combination of the key words you need. It's not difficult at all. The results you find will often be forum posts or Yahoo Answers pages, or tech support pages from people having the SAME PROBLEM as you. Invest the 5 seconds of research, and you'll have your answer. When you want to know something, you ask Google first. Please don't try to pass it off like "Oh, it's doesn't matter, I don't care, I'm not a techie like you guys." No, fuck that. It does matter, you do care, and this has nothing to do with tech savviness. Btw, this post just critically hit for 500HP. |
