Dude, while Link is FUCKING AMAZING in the gamecube version of SCII, I think that 3d and 2d fighters are totally separate genres.

this has gotta be the most dishonorable thing i've ever seen,this is the 1st time capcom blew it,c'mon,i mean...we are still wating for a miracle that will never exist(MvsC3,CvsSNK3 etc)

besides,who owns the latest consoles? seriously...people that have jobs

that video is intenselly boring,it's like Tekken 3 all over again,with stupid stealth music and square enix/kingdom hearts black magic.

...all i just wanted is see Ken with long hair,like the alpha series.

i love alpha(sf zero,mvsc games,pocket fighter series) way better than the 3rd strike,snes,cvssnk crap.

In response to taifu:
Developers want to make games that will sell lots. While they do want to please the hardcore Street Fighter fan base (including you and me?) they also want to appeal to people who don't generally play Street Fighter games. THEY WANT TO MAKE MONEY.

That said, it was completely unreasonable to expect Capcom to make another sprite-based fighting game. It's 2007, and that simply wouldn't have cut it in terms of revenue or popularity. I would have loved it, but it just couldn't happen.

You'll be happy to know, however, that Street Fighter 4 will be a 3-D game with 2-D gameplay. That means it will look somewhat like Tekken, but it will play essentially like Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, or the Alpha Series.

Don't knock it till you've played it.

Quoted for great justice. Seriously, taifu, it sounds to me like you're judging the game off of that short teaser trailer, which is absolutely zero indication of what the game itself is going to be like.

thats true huh....you'd think that trailers were to give the viewer a taste of what the game play is like but the street fighter 4 is video portraying badassness and all. its been a while since its been introduced and i want to see a video where it shows some actual in game footage.
