I noticed there is a DS thread so let's make a psp one.
I like the psp. I have been wanting to get some games. I'm tired of "illegally "getting them. It's just not the same as owning the real thing. One reason why i buy cd's Friends think i'm dumb because i do.

Anyways. Sucks that there isn't a lot of online games for it. The ad-hoc feature kinda sucks. I don't have a lot of people that own a psp. Those that do don't own the games i do.

PSP is terrible in comparison to the DS. The only game I'd even consider getting a PSP for is FF Tactics.

I love how two short sentences is a rant nowadays. In any case, all I said was that I don't think the PSP is that good. Try comparing battery life, price, and games, and you'll easily see that DS comes out on top. PSP has a few really really awesome games, but the ones I'm most interested in are all remakes of Playstation games that I already own.

The PSP is a good system, but if you want the -portable- experience, DS is better, it still has the same spirit as the Gameboy, that's why people generally choose the DS better.

I fucking love my PSP, I literally carry it with me everywhere I go, I mainly use it as an MP3 player, but there are games that are just too awesome.

There are lots of people here that have PSPs, if you want to play a multiplayer game [Both offline and online], I recommend Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus. It has Game Sharing, so you don't have to worry about the other person not having the game.

There are a lot of addicting games, I highly recommend Lumines, Loco Rocco, Disgaea, and get the PSP version of Cave Story.

What kind of games do you have? What version?

I'd be interested in seeing how the DS Lite stacks up against the PSP...as far as I know, there hasn't been a second version of the PSP, has their?

My younger brother has a PSP, and he loves it, but there just aren't enough games that I want for it that would make it worth me getting one. I REALLY want that FF Tactics remake though.

Not true, there was the PSP Lite.

Anyway, there are absolutely no games on the DS that can hold my interest for more than a day. PSP, on the other hand, has Daxter.

Yes, but then again the DS Lite doesn't have any major hardware upgrades, it's all cosmetic.
Same with the PSP Slim, there are really no significant differences.


I played FF Tactics, I don't like it so much, it is a VERY slow game IMO.
If you like Tactics, I highly recommend Disgaea. You can get that for PSP/PS2/PS3/a remake for the DS. Best RPG ever.

I owned a PSP for a time. Lumines was great, yes, but once you got the "hang" of it, it was incredibly easy. Turn the game on, spend 3 hours without failing. It was well designed...but it wasn't designed well for having a challenging difficulty.

The DS Lite has huge battery life and screen lighting upgrades over the normal DS, including being more compact and more portable.

It's still playing the same games, but atleast they got something right: more battery.

The PSP Slim actually fucked up the PSP's battery more than normal.

Mare's right. The DS is a lot better than the PSP. I have a psp, and it has some pretty good games on it, but it fails in comparison to the DS, which wins due to the shear number of high-quality games.

I blame it entirely on Sony. They didn't market the PSP correctly.

It's really regrettable, to be honest. Up until Nintendo started managing to get all the old Final Fantasy games onto their portable systems, I was a Sony devotee.
