I've played the first GT game. It's alright. It's not all that great. I enjoyed playing Sega GT 02.
I kinda want that motor something game for the XBOX.
The need for speed games sucked.
I enjoyed burnout lots!.

Dude, GT4.
Set up a lan on your ps2 through your comp, I'll race?

And not lolz @ racing threads, I love this stuff.
Those who don't like GT can't play it well, I'm saying from experience of other people at Fry's who are flipping through demos, and are saying stuff about it. So I asked one of them to play GT5 (demo) with me, and he sucked. He couldn't grip, drift, dirt drop, or shift properly ( just shifting when it tells you to, not fancy stuff like clutch kicking ), so yeah.

my best friend has been playing gt4 since it came out and STILL only has like 20% complete. He'd invest HOURS in it a day sometimes. Also people usually get frustrated with the fact that they REALLY overdid the "realistic" understeer, making it impossible to take turns with normal cars faster than fucking 10 mph. Overall it's just a really time consuming game, with races, that take HOURS to finish at times. no gamer in the entire universe wants to lose a race they spent hours playing. honestly.

when it all comes down with it, you either love it (then again you probably love all things racing) or find it boring/frustrating/too complex to really get into.

pretty sure there are less than 5 people on IM that know what a dirt drop or a clutch kick is.

I think it's less "people are bad at the game, so they dislike it" and more "people dislike the game, and as a result don't get good at it."

I don't have much time to play GT. So usually, I'll just play enough to get the cars I want (Lotus Exige, Aston Martin DB9, Nissan GT-R, Ford GT, etc.), then I usually lose interest.

It is a time-consuming game, thats true.
The understeer problem can be fixed by playing w/ suspension, turn it into oversteer and corners suddenly become a hell of a lot faster.
But, then again, for good tuning parts, you need to get moneys. The fun part is taking an 86 and turbo/supercharge it, tune the suspension, body, etc. and put a big-ass GT wing on it so it looks like its going to fly with it, and time att. Deep Forest.

Or, buy a Spirit RX7, tune that, more time att., yeah.

So it all comes down to tuning. Drifting in gt4 is fun, more speed, see?
If you can unlock the HKS hyper-sylvia, or Nomura Ken's GTR ( http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JPEfAeuZ3t0 ), and its like fricking D1GP!

You know lots about cars TYMT >.> I just know the more speed and best handling = win.

I was playing GT the first one this morning. I fell asleep playing it. I was to tired, but i was wondering. The other GT games, do they have lots of tracks? I mean the firist one has like 5-8. Not much. The good thing about most racing games is that they have alots of ccourses.

The other day I played Need For Speed Underground, the first one. It's alright, the fact that most of the courses look so much a like kinda kills it for me. :dizzy:

Then i tried playing Sega GT. 2002. It turns out I have completed that one. Have most of the cars i want. So it was cool. But to little courses.

Yes, but he probably can't identify all of the cars in my avatar, like I can.

There are two types of racing game fans:
1) Sim-fans like TYMT.
2) People who go "Wait, I have to brake at corners? What the fuck is this shit?"
