Did anybody play old Lucasarts point 'n clicks?
I've had an urge lately to go back and play Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam 'n Max, The Dig, all those games again. I'm tempted to get an R4 for my DS so I can play them on the go (though if I get off my ass and mod my PSP I could do the same on there).

I played Maniac Mansion which was the precursor to Day of the Tentacle. EDIT: I wanted to check out Day of the Tentacle from my school's library, but they said it was declared lost.

Sam and Max That game is still funny. Even if most of those jokes are old I still haven't played the monkey island or the day of the tentecle one. I haven't found them at ebay. Didn't they made a new sam and max game? Or was it only episdoes?

It's released episodically but it's still a new game. The six-episode Season 1 pack and the five-episode Season 2 pack are both available on Steam now. Each season is essentially a whole game. They're really funny.

So I can play them? Or just watch them? By episodes they mean like they did with the half lifes? I never understood that.

Yeah, they're little few-hour-long games, same deal with Half-Life, except these guys actually release them on a regular basis instead of every like two years with Valve

I've played Escape from Monkey Island, though I don't think it was point-and-click... I really want to play the earlier Monkey Island games.

Do so. Monkey Island 4 was a mess of reused jokes and horrible controls (worked great for Grim Fandango but sucked with MI4). 1-3 are spectacular.

YES
Escape from Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle are the best.
Although some of the puzzles on Escape from Monkey Island were a bit like "....wah? How was I suppose to know that?"
