Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Brawl's release in the US is only 4 days away, what are you doing to prepare? Also, what new brawler most interests you?
For me it's definitely Snake and Pokemon Trainer. Snake is the most kickass character ever, and who can't resist playing as Squirtle, Ivysaur, and
Charizard with Pokemon Trainer?

I don't have a Wii here, but my friends that do will be seeing a lot more of me once Brawl comes out.
Personally, I'm psyched for Sonic, Pokemon Trainer, Ike, and seeing how they tricked out Link and Marth.

It's weird how they took out Roy and Marth put in Ike as a clone replacement thing.

Nah, I'm sure Ike is from a later game in the series, so replacing Roy with him is fine.

Well, in this game, Marth and Ike are definitely not clones in the way Marth and Roy were clones in Melee. The differences are not subtle.
Anyway, I'm SUPER pumped for Brawl.
Really looking forward to play as King Dedede, Wolf, and the Ivysaur portion of Pokemon trainer. Oh, and ROB. Olimar looks pretty cool, but we'll see if his play style is a little...difficult or unwieldy. I dunno. I might get frustrated with him.
Apparently, heavy characters don't suck this time so...get ready for some pummelin'.
For those of you that find it hard to control your Brawl lust:

I've put quite a few hours into a Japanese version of Brawl and its extremely fun. I still use Sheik mostly though. Sonic is crazy fast in the game. Pit is also quit fun to use.

I work Saturday and Sunday.
But I'm going to the midnight launch. I go in late on Sunday so I'll have a lot of time to play.

Now is the time where I am truly sorry I don't have a Gamecube controller (and that I didn't buy a Wavebird at the store). As far as I'm concerned, for purposes above novice-play, the singular Wiimote control scheme (even customized) is NOT USABLE.
1) Diagonals are difficult.
2) Jumping with the up arrow? Ugh.
3) Up-tilts are essentially impossible.
4) Dodging and shielding are really awkward, and get in the way when you don't want them to.
5) Grabbing is inconvenient.
Does anyone know how much Wavebirds generally cost new? People are going crazy for them on Ebay.
...but I think I'll just get a regular GCN controller. Friend Code to come later.
