Well, I was hoping for more replies, but anyway, the game is kinda like pokeymans in that you get monster eggs and hatch them and stuff.

It's a really fun game because you're a fifteen y.o. kid whose father died on a trip into the monster tower (he was a famous monster tamer) when you were a little kid and so you had to sell all of his old familiars so the family could scrape by as you grew up. Towards the beginning of the game, the house you live in is little more than a hut, but after you get more gold and stuff, you can make your house bigger, buy furniture, get more familiars, etc. Eventually, you'll start to help out the town, making a bigger temple, hospital, building a theatre, casino, etc. Along the way you can have love interests (seven in total) with the girls of the town: A tomboy, a hot rich chick, a waitress, a store clerk, a dancer, a nurse, and a nerdy librarian-esque chick.

The monster tower has forty levels, each level increasing in difficulty, and about every five levels, the main elements of the monsters change and the monsters change into much stronger ones. Oh yeah, every time you enter the tower, the main character reverts to level 1, but his familiars stay the same level they were, to add difficulty to the game. To make matters worse, if you die or reset the game while in-tower-play, all of your items are wiped from your inventory, barring your monsters. It's wise to have two saves because of this.

I just replayed it recently, and being the beast that I am, I got to the top level on my seventh tower run ;). It helped that my second run, i got a monster whose attack power gets hella high, hella quick. Oh yeah, even if you clear the tower, you can still keep replaying the game for enjoyment purposes.

P.S. There are also a couple of monsters that "evolve" from infancy to adulthood.

It's a really fun game and I highly recommend it, even if it is outdated.
