Yeah, I was replaying today, and my highest score for the No Recovery Extra Survival mode is only 28 or so with Link. :|

For the death match, it's like 38.

Standard is only 44 :|

When I did death match I got 23 wins today. I'm out of practice. Anyway, what're your scores and shiz?

I haven't played that game in a long time, as a result I don't remember my score. The highest should be between Link, Mitsurugi, and Talim.

Great game. Last time I played that was in the arcade a few weeks ago. Lucky me the local amazing Japanese kid was there... I think he was waiting for someone to completely dominate, since I saw him waiting at the machine for an hour with a whole roll of quarters. Lets just say, it was like watching a grizzly bear with ninja skills face off against a retarded, one handed, senile koala bear.

I'm pretty good at Soul Calibur 2. I know my weaknesses though.

1. I don't guard often enough and kinda can get screwed on counters.
2. I can't time the interrupts/whatever they're called.
3. I've used Link over 1,200 times and Kilik 7 times, but hold my Death Match record with Kilik.

The way to get really good on a console is just to go into practicing against the extremely hard mode or even just the very hard mode.

I only ever played when I was with friends, so I'm not very good at all. I usually play as Kilik, though. I love fighting with a staff.

Once we were playing on one of the tiny little platform maps, I dunno what it's called. I inadvertently pulled off the move where Kilik jams the staff down between an opponents legs, then lifts them over his head and throws them down behind him. It was just my opponent's bad luck that he'd backed me to the edge of the map when I pulled this move. RING OUUUUUT

Link is by far one of the easiest characters to get ringouts with. When you do the A + B throw, he grabs their arm, flips around and kicks them behind him. Yeah. So if you're not in a cage arena or whatever, it's always an option to back up toward the wall and then just do that. It's annoying when the opponent avoids your throws, or if they're out of range. =P

I get about 42 on the death match (course that was ages ago, so I might do better)

I rule as Kilik when I play him. I know how to do all his moves.

And link CAN be the most annyoing character, that's only if you play a newbie that just uses the grab button and sends you flying off the stage.
