 Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Just beat it. Where has this game been all my life? I've been so turned off by it.

To be honest, I really don't care for Yoshi's Island
on a handheld system. xP
I think it's much more win on the classic SNES version where you've got a bigass screen and better controls where you don't have to worry about breaking the monitor in half when you suddenly jerk your hands five different ways at once to make sure that Yoshi will land on the fucking platform.
I've got it on the GBA and while it still is a lot of fun, I think the SNES version is better.
But yeah, Yoshi's Island = win. Not as much win as SMB3. SMB3 is like the epitome of win.

Yoshi's Island was win.. until I got to the fucking part with the big plant boss guy. That shit pissed me the fuck off.

What's the difference on DS? Better graphics or something?

I've only played a little bit of the DS game, and so far, the only disappointment is that they replaced the popping noise when yoshi plops out an egg with a generic Yoshi "mum." I've been preoccupied with other games, but I'm sure the game is excellent. I do like that if you time it right, you can flutter jump repeatedly in the new game. 
About SMB3, did anyone run into the glitch in the fifth world (cloud world) where the airship flies up onto the space of the tower? Since you can't go back down there, I got screwed and had to reset. Only happened once, but I try to make sure I get through the airship in as few lives as possible, regardless. Anywho, I love playing that game every once and a while and playing through every world and every level without whistles. Why skip worlds when they all kick so much ass?
