how can you not finish the secret of evermore? did you at least get to the renaissance world? that's my favourite part... besides the middle ages anyway. |

Cecil from FF IV makes a cameo as the Ebon Keep weapon/armor shop. I don't know too many RPG's that would do that. I wish the game was longer, but they were working on Chrono Trigger at the same time, and it's pretty obvious which one got more attention. I could definately see a sequel to it, "Return to Evermore". But chances are horrible that Square would make a sequel to a spinoff of an RPG series. I actually like SOE more than the original Secret of Mana. I like Evermore because it doesn't take itself too seriously, and it just felt like a genuinely original adventure. Plus, the character name fields are unusually long, allowing me to name the dog Abraham Lincoln. Is there a way to delete the poll? It gets dumber every time I look at it. ![]() ![]() |
secret of mana game coming out for DS.
Yeah, me too. I saw reviews for Sword of Mana for the GBA, and they weren't great. They said that the AI for the team member the computer was controlling was atrocious; that it would repeatedly run into hazards, traps, get caught on walls and other annoying nonsense. They better as hell fix that. On the Evermore topic, I just realized I permanently missed the alchemy "Lance" because I took this guys treasure in Gothica. If you don't take it, he enters when you try to leave and asks you if you took the treasure. Say no, and HE GIVES IT TO YOU. WTF? On top of that, he teaches you lance. I hate starting over because I missed a miss-able. ![]() Oh well, this time around, I named the boy Winston Churchill, to complement my dog named Abraham Lincoln. |
