I recently finished Disgaea 1 Afternoon of Darkness.

I've been getting into JRPG games for a while now.

I'm usually just playing games from Nis America / Nipponichi studios.

So far I'm enjoying the ones I've played.

They are so addicting.

La Mulana update, as warned, Viy was an asshole of a high caliber. It's a gimmick fight. For an hour or two I tried to take him out with standard means but when the pattern speeds up there is too much going on to get hits safely. That's what the gun is for, and why the ammo is so expensive. Currently tripping balls in the Chamber of Birth. ^_^

Picked up Star Tropics and Thundercade for NES and Wanderers From Ys III for SNES from the local game store. I saw an NES bowling game that had a female character portrait that looked like she was double-fisting middle fingers on the character select screen but I wasn't interested in the game itself. Still waiting for Formula One: Built To Win and Kung-Fu Heroes to show up. :)

Couple more things to finish up in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Ahhh, this game is really fun but it's a shame it's so damn easy once you are leveled up all the way. To keep the game at level of challenge that a beat 'em up of yesteryear would typically have, you need to really hold your stats down; I'm talking south of 50 for strength and defense; but then it becomes tricky to eat because there are only so many food items that only give you health and guts points. Have fun hitting up that bottled water and checkout counter snacks. I like that they released online mp, finally.

Puzzle Quest 2 (on Android).

It was awesome when I started (RPG x puzzle game? GIVE ME MORE). But after the newness wore off, the battles even on hard haven't really been challenging, except for the occasional side quest boss. I still enjoy it though.

Zelda Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons were released on 3DS virtual console today. I scored 'em both.
Although I loved Link's Awakening, I never played the Oracle games. I started with Seasons and I'm really enjoying it.

Tomorrow I'm expecting to receive Fire Emblem Awakening in the mail. I'm starting to gather a bit of a backlog. I'm hoping that I will have time to at least play through the Zelda games soon, because the new Animal Crossing comes out in a bit over one week. I can't wait for that stuff.

I've been playing MOrrowind these past couple of weeks.
I got a few mods for it and a few tweeks to make it feel more 'resent'
And oh my goodness. It looks SO much better than before. I just can't stop playing it. I'm hooked on the game again!

It 's been years sinec I've played it and I have been wanting to play it again. This is a great excuse to play it again.

2 weeks and I already have over 40 hours on the game. >.>

After finally "completing" Dragon Quest VII 3DS (the last bonus dungeon, there's still tons of other stuff I don't feel like doing at the moment) I'm back to playing 16-bit games. I'm about twenty years late to the party, but I'm finally playing Sonic the Hedgehog.

^ Underage user alert.

I played that 20 years ago.

I just got done beating Morrowind.
I finished the main story only.

It was awesome.
Was disappointed with the last boss not having it's own Texture Model.
The only thing that set him aside from any Ash monster you encounter inside red mountain was a mask.

The ending had SO much potential.
I guess in a way they didn't want to make the ending feel as if you were done with the game.

There is SO much left to be done.
I just wont be doing it.

I don't want to waste more hours in that game. I already put 80 awesome hours into it.
I feel empty now. I don't want to leave the world of morrowind!

I've been playing Persona 4: Golden (on the Vita.) It's a really good game. Lots of dialogue, good use of humor, etc. The only thing that's annoying about it is the micromanaging needed to increase everyone's Social Links (relationship points.) I've been beasting through it. Got 90% of the Persona Compendium complete; need to unlock the S.Link ones to finish it. A really good entry into the Persona series. I still need to play Persona 2 + 3 though.

Looking forward to Shin Megami Tensei IV on Tuesday. Got it preordered on Amazon; I also ordered Fire Emblem: Awakening to get the $30 club Nintendo estore credit. I've been a fan of Fire Emblem's style for a while, but I'm just getting to that series now.

I also got Hotline Miami for the Vita, and it was really fun. Trippy.

Is anyone else ridiculously excited for Final Fantasy XV like me?

$30 credit, o rly? I want to get Awakening, but my husband is the one with the 3DS, so I haven't bothered yet. I don't feel like forking over money for a 3DS just yet if that's the only game I want.

In the meantime I picked up Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn so I've been enjoying that.

I have never played any of the Shin Megami Tensei games and wasn't very interested in IV, but that $30 eshop credit deal was too tempting to pass up. Plus, I used a $15 off coupon when I ordered it, so it's a pretty awesome deal.

I'm still obsessed with Animal Crossing New Leaf and have racked up an embarrassing amount of play hours.

Free thirty dollars for buying Fire Emblem? Sounds like a win/win from here. I heard Awakening was fantastic. Definitely would've liked to have taken advantage of that since the new Pokemon generation is just around the corner.

My thoughts exactly. You can still take advantage of it. The event doesn't end until the end of August, I think.
