I refuse to read this thread in its entirety because I buy so many books on impulse and it takes me forever to read them; and I know I will find some thing in there that I would feel I had to buy. I have been trying to finish Last Exit To Brooklyn and next I have to read Waiting Period. I'm not at home and I forgot the author for the second one.
One of the great books I've read recently is We by Yevgeny Zamyatin.
Greatness. I tend to like books like that, or with a political undertone even though I'm not very politically-minded.
M'oh well.

I've actually been catching up on the modern classics recently, since the past two years I really slacked off on reading. Right now I'm reading Catch-22 and Lolita. After those, maybe Grapes of Wrath, which I'm not looking forward to. That and Brave New World.

Shouldn't any person whose first language is english be in "AP English?"
Next year I'm taking AP Literature. It's so weird though, because my favorite book is MAGAZINES.

Cuckoo's Nest is a great book, but don't relate it to the movie. Mainly because Bromden gives an entirely different take on it than the movie, which was third-person.

I'm finding myself reading To Kill a Mockingbird all over again. REALLY good book, Atticus Finch is one of my all-time favorite characters ever.
I want to get the movie if I can. Is it released on DVD?

I just finished reading Beowulf again for school. That book rules. Perople were bitching about it being boring well they are obviously liars. He ripped the arm off the spawn of Cain with his bare hands. Dude is a badass. I'm re-reading Choke by Palahniuk and The Salmon of Doubt by Adams.
