Come the fuck on...I've been wanting to get back into handheld gaming for so long - and especially Pokemon - but as long as they continue to charge such unreasonable prices, I just can't justify such a purchase.

I remember I bought a Game Boy Color when it came out for $80. The DSi has been out for how many years and it's still...what? $130? Compare with the Wii, which is maybe $200? For fuck's sake. And what's the DSi but a glorified DS, which has existed since 2004? Also, if such prices can sustain themselves despite the release of the 3DS less than a month away and the next generation of consoles on the horizon (XBOX 360 was released over half a decade ago), I can't even rely on depreciation to allow me to afford such antiquated technology.

I want one so bad, but I [i]know[/i] once I buy it I'll regret it. I start college in about six months, and I need all the money I can get for clothes and other independent living stuffs.

What does a DS Lite go for these days, I wonder? They're pretty good, and you can play GBA on them, too.
