Re: RPGs
I feel sorry for the kids that got their start in RPG's with Kingdom Hearts *coughlostmancough* I mean come on that game is a disease, a long with Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Square comes out with utter shit now a days, last good game they made was FF9. I give them a little credit for FF10 but i still think it was a shitfest. After that they lose all credibility. Just think back to those magical days of 4, 6, 7, tactics, 8, 9. Even though some of those now are kinda overrated *hint 7* but back then they were great. I remember getting FF7 for my 8th birthday and soon after I got Tactics. Pure magic. Also can't discredit all those other good RPG's. Legend of Mana, Alundra, Vagrant Story, Illusion of Gaia, Legend of Dragoon, Musashi (y'all gon get a lickin), list goes on and on.
What's wrong with that GAME! I enjoyed it. It's different from other RPG's. I wouldn't say it's SUPER EASY. If you think so you can always do it on expert mode. The story is amazingly done. With the added disney characters it just give you this nostalgia feel. I enjoyed that game. The voice acting made it lots better. I have been playing RPG games since the snes. Super Mario RPG great RPG Legend of mana etc etc. The best RPG in my opinion is FF9 . The story is just so amazingly done and so sad. I cried when i first passed it It was the first time i actually ever cried on a video game. I remember growing up I use to play some RPG's on the snes but couldn't understand what they were saying. Since i couldn't read let alone speak english i just clicked and clicked. One of the reasons why i couldn't find the Ocarina on Link to the past .

I can't, I was too young.
Final Fantasy 7 is the most overrated game ever. I could not get into that one at all. But 8 and 9 were fantastic (especially 9).

Re: RPGs
7 is fucking AMAZING. Seriously. I don't know why all the indie kids have to be cool and hate it.

Re: RPGs
Bah, the first KH was pretty good (excluding the undersea level and the stupid gummi ship stuff).
The second one... now that was meh. Too much reenacting of Disney films. -_-

The under sea level was ok. Itwas cool that they actually turn you too a mermaid. I never really bothered with the Gummi ship. I kept mine the way it was.
I haven't played the second one. Waiting for the remake of Chain of memories.
"]
Just think back to those magical days of 4, 6, 7, tactics, 8, 9. It may be overrated but atleast it was good. I haven't played it. But the way square exploited it and made a dozen other games from it kinda kills the game. If you want to talk about overrated then mention Halo. I played it and it was "the best shooter ever" But meh. There wasn't really anything THAT cool about it. Just okay game. I prefer Quake 3 now that's an AWESOME game.

Re: RPGs
Halo 3 has an epic, comprehensive storyline, which is far more than you can say for most shooters, which is why it deserves much of the praise it gets.

Re: RPGs
I dunno, I think I actually prefer Call of Duty 4. You don't have to run around a map, looking for a specific gun to make you a badass--there's a certain level of customization that makes it more enjoyable, and it's more of a focus on skill. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of skill in Halo 3, but a lot of the kills are bullshit, which wasn't so much of an issue in Halo 1 or 2...

Re: RPGs
Actually on Halo 3 they weakened many weapons, increased the reload time, increased the time it takes to change weapons, increased the time between a grenade throw and when you can shoot again, increased the time between when you melee and can shoot or grenade again, etc etc...
Also you can kill people with any of the guns, it's just up to you to use them in the right situations.

I was mostly thinking of melee timing and shit. I can melee way the fuck before someone else and we would both die.
Also Rockets > SMGs

halo 3 wasn't that great. Call of duty 4, though...

Re: RPGs
Vagrant Story is pretty difficult, but it's nice that you can hit targets outside of your ranged weapon "range." I haven't beaten it. Heck; I haven't even gotten far in it, but I guarantee that this will frustrate the average gamer.

Re: RPGs
am i the only person who played through all final fantasies except 6 and 9? 6 i liked but something always came up in my life and i couldn't put the time into it, and 9 i despised. bad characters (except vivi), bad system... . by the way, ff 2 is AMAZING. it's a huge star wars rip off, but it's great anyways.
