I was in an ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 tournament on Sunday. I did pretty good.
I lost every round though. I wasn't surprised. After the tournament I asked a few people who participated to play with me a few rounds. I ended up owning all of them. It was 30 to 1.

When I lost the owner of the shop even said "I'm surprised you lost. I was really expecting you to win"

The only reason I lost was because I got REALLY nervous. I mean SERIOUSLY! After the tournament I was more laid back and managed to kick every ones ass! I left knowing they KNOW I'm good.

They'll be hosting a Smash bros melee tournament this Saturday. I might go. just to get more use to tournaments and so that I can stop being so nervous. And I was good at that game in the past. I'll be kicking some ass!

I might also stop playing Ultimate now that I know I'm really good and better than a lot of people. Cocky mothermanabe I am.

Got a 3DS, playing Resident Evil: Revelations like it's my job.

I got Persona 4 recently because I heard some of the soundtrack and liked it. I wish I could say I was as enthusiastic about the game itself. Not being able to put the VAs into Japanese is bugging me ("Let's go to Innabuh!"), and the whole aspect of exploring the town and having some degree of freedom honestly hasn't come forth yet (about two hours into the game). I think I've moved my character around for about 10 minutes total and fought in only two battles thus far. Shit needs to pick up.

Got Pokemon White two weeks ago and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Going to get Xenoblade soon, looks incredible.

The intro/tutorial is soul-crushingly long and dull, but if you can get through it, the game gets pretty great. I just cleared the second major dungeon and I'm waaay into it.

Welcome to the world of Atlus games. =)

Yeah, I ended up putting in a few hours yesterday/this morning and it's already picked up considerably. Surprised at how unforgiving some of the sim-game elements are. How did I end up with 2 clubs and a part-time job on the same day??

Picked up Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Disgaea 2, and Phantom Brave all for the PSP yesterday. Trying to get more into some RPGs and I really liked the first Disgaea game, so, was stoked when I managed to get those on PSP.

Just recently began playing Crysis. My brother purchased it and I wasn't expecting to enjoy it at all. I kept pushing it as it being a 'typical fps shooter' but no. It's actually pretty good.

And I'll be in a blazblue tournament on SAturday. So I've been playing that too. I'm going to lose. I am not that good in that game. I don't play it as much as I use to. We'll see what happens.

I saw Final Fantasy XIII on clearance in a store the other day and decided it was finally time to give it a try. Pretty much everything I expected to hate, I hate. The crawling pace, the linearity, the overly automated battle screen, [i]Fucking Vanille.[/i] That said, it's enjoyable enough to watch and occasionally play.



EDIT: I'm 10 chapters in and digging the hell out of it. The character development proceeded wonderfully from chapter 4 onwards, Lightning actually began to display a few layers of depth not common in recent Square protagonists. Also I'm totally sold on the battle system, it's a legitimate refreshment.

OK you were completely right, I've been completely enthralled by this game for the last week or so, have clocked 60+ hours and am probably only 60 hours into the game. I wanted a grindy game, I got the grindiest game. Thank you based Atlus.

I was using Chun instead of Dormammu before but then I remembered I don't know how to play her at all haha. I'm starting to play a bit more now (instead of just toiling in the training room) so if you're ever up for games let me know. I went on to body this Haggar/Arthur/Dr. Doom player 15-4 (using my main team), was pretty happy about that.

Anyway, speaking of fighting games, I know there's some people here who are into BlazBlue and/or Persona 4, so I was wondering who else is pumped for...

They were pretty good games. I wasn't really all that there while I was playing. I had just gotten home and wasn't expecting to play for as long as did. I was forgetting how good your Dom was. I kept messing up A LOT with frank west. I haven't had a chance to play that game for a while now. So I kind of forgot how to set up his combos. I'll have to do a minute of practise and I"ll get the hang of it again. I'll see if I can play you sometime soon. I prefer to play at night though. That's when I"m usually feeling the heat.
