c. s. lewis is great. orson scott card is great. piers anthony's xanth books were great, but his new stuff isn't as good as the old (the best was undoubtedly castle roogna). the last book i read for an assignment was the catcher in the rye. great book, but very depressing.

I just finished reading "Sock" by Penn Jillette (of Penn & Teller). It was an excellent read. It's about the murder of a police diver's ex-girlfriend told thorugh the eyes of the diver's sock monkey doll. It'd make a great Satoshi Kon flick.

Shit, I have so much summer reading to catch up with and I haven't even started. I need to read:
The Scarlet Letter
The Joy Luck Club
The Grapes of Wrath
..before the school year starts. I'm interested in the second two, but I can bet myself that the Scarlet Letter is going to be a pain to read.

I read the back of a cereal box this morning.
Okay, so I just did the fun-maze, but that's still the most reading I've done in over a month.

Grapes of Wrath bored me to death.
I'm reading The Ringworld Throne by Larry Niven right now, book three of a trilogy. It's okay, not as good as the previous two.

I see what you did there. But yeah, it's a very good book. Probably my favorite.

I forgot to mention that I'm also reading Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town by Cory Doctorow. If you like Sci-Fi, you should totally check out his stuff, mostly because he has the wisdom to release all his novels for free on the internet.
