I can point out so many grown adults in their young 20s that play Pokemon either casually or with intent of battling people on WiFi in a competitive sort of setting that it's not even funny, so...

Steering the thread away from autistic gaming… :suspicious:

I am currently enjoying the hell out of VVVVVV. Novel game mechanics, awesome story, old school Commodore 64 graphics, and face-meltingly amazing chiptune soundtrack? Yes please!

I'm also trying Cave Story+ out. New graphics are sexy, but the music is…eh, I have mixed feelings about it. A lot of it is nice, but I feel like some of the remakes completely ruin the vibe in certain parts of the game (First Cave song, I'm looking at you). Really curious to try out the Wind Fortress bonus level though.

(Also, in case you didn't pick up on it, I <3 the Humble Indie Bundle.)

Yeah I got it in the latest H.I.B. too. I haven't tried Cave Story+ yet, though. I loved everything about the original, sucks to hear the updated soundtrack isn't as good :( *listens to moonsong for 30 minutes*

Wired Xbox 360 Controller for Christmas. That means I'm discovering, for the FIRST TIME, the joy and love that is Parappa the Rapper. It's ridiculous. Too bad it's so short. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRJPPn5LB_E#t=2m27s

A touch of that, then a touch of Super Mario World (of course), and Star Fox 64 (double of course, Hard Venom like it's nothin').

The second one is disappointing. ^

I actually own it. The story is still silly though. Every tried Um jammer lammy? i really enjoyed the songs on that one. I was going to purchase the album a while back, but didn't have enough for it T_T

Sonic generations! :D :D :D
I just bought it and beat it in less than 4 hours. Eh..it was alright though. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ I really enjoyed the humour in it. It was also really fun and addicting.!

It took me hours of pondering to figure out that you're emulating these games on your pc and using the wired 360 controller to play. Haha

I figured it out in like five seconds. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing though.

How's the sensitivity on the 360 controller? My friend used one and it was extremely high for Super Mario World for some reason.

It's kind of funny though, because I did the exact same thing. It was one of the main reasons I bought a netbook. Portable Mario Kart 64 lol.

What do you mean by sensitivity? Super Mario World (and the SNES) has digital controls. Right means Right, there is no analog joystick or trigger movement. I'm trying to imagine what "extremely high sensitivity" on Mario would look like...He was using the d-pad, right?

While it seems weird, Mario would turn hella fast and was a lot harder to control. Imagine being in an ice level every level and while you're jumping in the air.

I tried to use a gaming controller my friend gave me on my laptop, and the right stick had really weird sensitivity, but only along the horizontal axis. Shit was weird, I know the sort of thing you're talking about.

I don't have an issue cause I'm using the D-Pad I guess.

Just burned a small Best Buy giftcard on Dead Island. Looks pretty okay to me!

FF XIII. I am enjoying. :3

I know most folks don't like Vanille but that voice actress is really hitting some kind of magical place that's like, 1/3 funny accent, 1/3 wide-eyed youth and 1/3 calm encouragement. I think most people would just write it off as "shitty"... I don't know, I like her, considerably more than the previous few whimsy girls at least.

Hope isn't that bad, but I forsee him taking a longer time than most people have patience for to open up, I can understand why he has attracted negative attention for the game. Snow is also just fine as a character, I just wish they wouldn't have put that bang of hair that goes between his eyes. >_< Tuck that shit in, bro! Sahz is completely awesome, Lightning too.

I haven't finished XIII, but I thought the voice acting was a huuuuge step up from X and XII. Even Vanille's is alright, I'm not sure why people hate on it so much. Kind of sad that the series has more or less devolved into Hallway Fantasy though... I thought XII was a step in the right direction, but then...
