I want to buy a wii, especially for brawl. But Idk if I should get it, I mean my Xbox just sits there most the time, because Ive untook some changes in schedule.
Im debating still though. Any input? is it worth it? like (to those who have it) do you touch it more then just when friends come over and all?
I cant decide @_@

I never have friends over so I can touch it reeaaaaaall good...
I fell off the vidya gaem wagon myself, so I can understand the feeling of having really good games for a console but never getting around to playing them. However, I just beat No More Heroes on easy and am now carrying clear data into medium, so I have a somewhat renewed interest in single player adventures. Maybe in a month or so I'll start playing MP3, Zelda TP, or continue Tomb Raider Anniversary or Sonic and the Secret Rings.
I rented MLB Power Pros. I played it for a few minutes with my bro, it's fun. My wii froze, though, lol, so we'll try again tomorrow.

I'm not going to get Brawl off the bat since my Wii-havin' roommate will surely get it himself and the rest of us will leech off it.
However, if I had a Wii of my own, I'm not sure if I would get it for two reasons. One, everybody I know who has a Wii will be getting it, so what's the point. Two, the difference between Melee and Brawl is not nearly as big as the difference between the original and Melee, and while I'm sure the game will still be fun, I don't expect it to be any different than Melee, which I played the everloving hell out of and am thoroughly burned out on.

For some unknown reason, I traded in Melee along with some other games. Kinda dumb. But there's a Brawl commin', so things are looking back up.

The Wii is a boatload of fun and has a ton of great games with more to come. I'd say it's the best deal on the new systems.
Also, original Smash >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Melee.
I'm just hoping Brawl is going to be as good as it looks and correct Melee's mistakes.

That was kind of my hope too, while the difference between 1 and Melee was huge I still preferred the original, but after watching a ton of the videos that have gone up since Brawl's launch in Japan it really looks like it's the exact same thing as Melee but with prettier backgrounds and more items.

No offense to those who like the original more than melee, but I can not see how anyone would prefer the original to melee. The original was amazing before melee, but now, going back and playing the original just makes it... I have no idea. The original is fun when you play it with friends and don't do anything seriously, but Jesus Christ. The levels are horrible. Seriously. That's the one thing I cannot stand. It'd be fun with better levels. The other levels are so tiny, it's hard to fit four players on, let alone have a good battle with four players.
There's many other things that bug me about the original when compared to melee (limited character selection, lack of a real smash function, limited modes, etc. ) but the main beef I have is that there's like... 2 levels that are suitable for 4 players (Link's and Fox's.) However, the best 2 player level ever is the ol' Pokemon stage <3

The gigantic levels in Melee are at times too BIG, slowing down the action from the high pace, blazing awesome that was Smash Bros. on the 64. The character selection is better, yes, but the introduction of extra b-button moves was more annoying than useful in my opinion, with some of the moves outright sucking (PK Flash anyone?). On top of that, they weakened some of the characters, slowed down the movement speed of the fast guys like Pikachu, and the controls aren't as responsive.
I like Melee, and I feel like it brought a lot of great stuff, but there were a lot of things that they made worse than the original.

Brawl is gonna be the PWN. We should definitely trade FC and play IM Tournaments. That would be totally awesome.
Anyone have any Wi-Fi games?
I have been currently playing Jump Ultimate Stars. Anyone up for a match?

I think I'm gonna pre-order Brawl for him. He said "It'd be worth the wait."

Melee. No items. Final Destination.= best match ever.
I seriously think Melee is much better than Smash 64. And having played Brawl. it's a lot more fun than Melee.

lol-wuttin' @ dis
Melee is far superior to 64. Get off the grass, Mare. ;]
Just don't pick the huge levels. And PK flash is AWESOME! ... in 4-player battles...
Seriously, though. The only thing bad about Melee is that it's very difficult to improve upon (lol false modesty). Let's hope Brawl can do it.
