Makes sense to me...
By the way my sisters friend told me of this theory. Harry is a horcrux...I don't feel like explaining it so just figure it out. I don't think its that hard to figure it out.

it does :D voldemort's transfer-of-power (parseltongue, etc.) to harry could have been intentional. could it be reason that voldemort wants to capture harry all this time, instead of killing him?
a reasoning opposing this theory would be that voldemort would have realized that (if living objects can be transformed into horcruxes) a child like harry would not remain within his grasp, or at least, at his side, as soon as he had found out that voldemort had killed his parents (which harry soon learns in the first book). if a tiny section of his soul is within harry, is it possible to extract it without killing him? in other words, how would voldemort be able to kill harry, without killing that part of himself?
everybody's cooking up awesomely theories ^_^
i'll try to re-read the last part of hp.

i dont think fawkes CAN die. in the voldemort-dumbledore battle at the end of book 5, fawkes simply SWALLOWS an avada kedavra blast, and it only turns him into a newborn again.. and i dont think he's gone, as he'd make a really great asset to harry.. remember, he has his own sort of very strong magic. even though nobody else can, he can apparate within hogwarts..

Doesn't Voldemort want to kill harry because either would have to die (the prophecy) to allow the other to live. and it's only because he's failed that Harry and Voldemort's lives have been intertwined?
(as for Fawkes.. i'll have to get a look at the books.. and some HP sites..), but Sirius was a better advocate for Harry than Fawkes would but HE"S DEAD .. Also, it wouldn't matter if you can apparate within Hogwarts or not, since flying is always an option and the boundaries aren't that far. Or you can make up some illegal Port Keys.

But simply put with that whole Harry=Horcrux theory. Harry has to kill himself to make sure Voldemort is dead. We all know it, Harry is gonna die.
