If you don't know what [url=http://resources.wizards.com/Magic/Cards/AP/en-us/Card23198.jpg]Powerstone Minefield[/url] does, the point of the [url=http://resources.wizards.com/Magic/Cards/IN/en-us/Card22934.jpg]Crimson Acolyte[/url]s was to give my own creatures protection from them and other mass red things that I might use. The deck was tricky, and it was surprising how well it worked.

Everyone seems to be into badass combinations and kickass cards, however many underestimate the simplicity, inexpensiveness, and straightforwardness of my favorite color: Red.

The only deck I ever actually used was derived from two basic deck types: Sligh and burn. Simple, mathematical, and hella fast. I didn't have the spending capacity to go building the decks I always created in my mind, so I went the cheap, simple route. It's always a good feeling burning straight through a guy who spends a fortune on his deck.

I never even had a thousand Magic cards, so I know what you mean. I got mine through trades and from friends/relatives.

I loved CCG's as a kid. Over time, I amassed a rather sizable collection of various different games. Just rediscovered them while cleaning out my closet in preparation to move, actually. I haven't even looked at them in like six or seven years, if not even more. Outgrew it I suppose.

Might put the whole thing up on ebay and see if anyone takes it. It's a pretty decent representative mix of things that by now must be long out of print.

sligh runs out of steam very quickly... i played a T2 sligh two summers ago (dude, that RR 1/1 haste who got +1/+1 counters? he was insane) and that did pretty well.

i'm a huge fan of sligh too, but aluren was my favorite by far...

As for big white cards: There's Pearl Dragon, Serra Angel, Alabaster Dragon, etc. I've always wanted to get Serra Avatar, that seems awesome.

I ALMOST got me a Serra Angel and an Angel of Destruction. Trade fell through though.

I traded a whole bunch of crappy foil lands for Rith. Heheh, the funny part was the guy whom I'd traded with said, "I bet I don't even need half of these."
