It's okay. I couldn't get into it very much, though. Try to use Steiner as little as possible, he's far too strong later in the game. Unless you want a one man wrecking crew, then by all means, use him all the time. Beatrix was awesome, it would have been cool if she could have joined up with your party, somehow.
Thanks Jomei, I'll have to be on the lookout for it next month. FF III and Yoshi's Island DS, EPIC COMBINATION.

Out of the Playstation entries in the series, I like IX the best. Granted, VII and VIII are both marvelous, but IX was the best in my opinion. Then again, I've played VII all the way through more times than I should have, so I'm a bit sick of it, I guess.

For the love of great justice, grab the GBA version of FFV [i]post-quickly[/i]. This game has everything: old-schoolness, pirates, humor, Galuf, and the Job System the way it was meant to be. Not to mention it throttles the PSX port in every way: great translation (the old one was ass), nonexistant load times, and more extras. The music is a little iffy on the GBA speakers, but pop it in your DS and it's nearly perfect.
Honestly, this bodes well for VI...

rawk on. People bash FF9 too much. I love it. especially since it was such a stark contrast too the style of FFVIII and FFX. Thats probably why I liked it so much.

i didnt like the battle system for XII that much, but i got used to it and i really like the game now. i played XI online for a long time so thats probably why i like it..

I got it for Christmas. Man, the battle system is really fun. It took a while to get used to, but it's tons of fun.

i've been a big FF fan but somehow i'm just not excited about this one, and have no intention of buying it until it costs $20.  maybe i'll end up loving it, but right now... meh (besides, i have twilight princess to occupy me).

People fellate FFVI way too much. After the world breaks, it's all sidequests. Sure, it's fun and stuff, but it doesn't do it for me.
I chose FFVII, because its storyline is by far the deepest of the FF games. I'm not including the AC and DoC stuff either.
Ranking:
#1: Suikoden 2
#2: FFT/FFVII/Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together
#3: SaGa Frontier 2, Suikoden, Shin Megami Tensei, Landstalker, FFIII
#4: FFVI, FFVIII, Alundra, FFX (until you find out that shitty-ass plot twist)
