OH JESUS, Twilight Princess. I still haven't played past the gorons.
I don't know shit about Zelda, so I read that as, "I haven't played that in gorons," as if 'gorons' are some kind of time measurement in Hyrule.
I just bought Torchlight II if anyone wants to play with me. My Steam account is garbagio_iii and my Runic account is Colonel_Bramwell. I'm not sure which one you need.

Professor Layton is a must!
OH JESUS, Twilight Princess. I still haven't played past the gorons. That's like, two dungeons in? I do want to play it sometime, and the same goes for Okami, but I could part with them until you beat them. I'm finished with Curious Village, you want it?
Haha, you're not the only one. I got to the mine/Goron dungeon, then quit for a couple years, then picked it up again and beat the dungeon and did the next tear gathering thing or whatever you call it, then haven't picked it up again.

I've heard Twilight Princess is an awesome game, is it not? Or is it just difficult?
I've heard Twilight Princess is an awesome game, is it not? Or is it just difficult?
I mean, every Zelda is awesome. There were some things about Twilight Princess that were a bit annoying at times, like most Zelda games, but overall it's a good game.

Re: video games
Fair enough, I haven't played Zelda since SNES, so I'm looking forward to it... Any better shooters than Goldeneye? I'm looking for a good multiplayer (campaign and vs.) that I can play with a gun controller (anyone?).

Re: video games
Coincidence, I just started playing Skyward Sword kind of. I'm not a huge Zelda fan, but it's serviceable.

It's a point and click steampunk adventure, but not the bad steampunk. I believe there's a demo. You should at least check out the trailer. I normally shy away from point and clicks, but this was my initial reaction:

Re: video games
So I finally got around to finishing Dishonored. If you haven't bought this game yet, do it. I'd recommend playing it on pc if you have the chance. There are many moments that require quite a bit of precision and swiftness, such as blinking behind a guard on patrol, killing him/knocking him out, and carrying his body out of the FOV of another guard that's about to turn a corner and see you. Most of the time your window of opportunity is 2-3 seconds. I couldn't imagine doing that while restricted with the movements of a controller's joysticks. Graphics wise, the pc version doesn't looks THAT much better than the console versions, but there is no anti-aliasing of any kind on console versions and the game is locked at 30fps (which is common and unnoticeable to most people).
I won't spoil the game for you in any way. For me, Dishonored was full of moments that made me step back and say, "Oh wow..." It carries a sense of wonderment that we don't see very often in games anymore. That being said, the ending blows. It's as if the developers were just casually coding away on their computers when their producer walked in and said, "Looks like we have a release date from Bethesda. It's next week. Jimmy I want you to fini- HOLY FUCK IT'S NEXT WEEK." Other than that, superb game. Pick it up y'all.

Re: video games
I bought an Xbox 360 controller for PC and now I'm committing to playing through lots of classic SNES games I've never done before. Starting with Super Metroid. This is so much more fun with a proper controller than the stupid PC keyboard.

Re: video games
I got annoyed trying to play Super Mario World with my 360 controllers...the D-pad sucks balls and the control stick is too clumsy for precise Mario platforming when you want to speedrun through levels.

Re: video games
D-pad master race reporting in. Just stick a PS3 controller in there. Software exists that allows you to do this.

Re: video games
That requires me purchasing said controller. I already had 360 controllers.

Ooh, I saw the Primordia trailer a little while ago, it looked neat.

Twilight Princess isn't particularly hard (as far as I played it), I just got distracted initially because I was also playing WoW when I first got it. More recently I just haven't felt much like devoting multiple hours at a time on a console game, it's hard to play a Zelda or other involved game in short sessions.
