Re: What are you playing?
Replaying Final Fantasy XII.
I always enjoyed this game. Going through it a second time is just as enjoyable as my first play through.

Re: What are you playing?
I tried a bit of XIII and just was not feeling it, like at all. Playing a lot of Modern Warfare 1 and 2 as well as a bit of Black Ops, just finished the third Layton the other night.

Re: What are you playing?
I don't care about the generic characters or whatever, it's the 13th game (more if you count all the side games and whatever), I care about the feel of the game. It doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy to me, somehow. I might try to get a little further in it and see, but I just had no interest in going on with the game.

Re: What are you playing?
Character development is perhaps one of the most important aspects of a Final Fantasy game, so if the characters are weak, so too the game will be, as well as the "feel" of the game.

Re: What are you playing?
Stuck on the (I think) last puzzle in the last Layton game. I won't look at the hints! So replaying Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon on H2, and trying to get all the extra chapters. I refused to kill off my characters the first time through.

Re: What are you playing?
Like the last story puzzle, or the final bonus puzzle with the blocks where you have to move one out the exit? Because that thing takes like 80 goddamn specific moves to beat, I looked it up just to see how awful it was after giving up completely (never solved it, I too detest cheating).

Re: What are you playing?
Story puzzle. It doesn't seem like it should be that hard but... I wasn't getting it. o_o Maybe I'll pick it up again in a couple days.
I don't generally try to finish all the bonus puzzles, I'll only try a few. I'm just not a must complete 100% type of person when it comes to games.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and Red Dead Redemption for PS3. Both are enjoyable, Red Dead more so. Has anyone played Dead Rising 2 yet?

Re: What are you playing?
After playing the absolute crap out of Mass Effect 2 twice in a row, I started on Forza Motorsport 3, which I got for Christmas. I mourn the days of my youth, in which I was a master of racing (Gran Turismo 3.) Speaking of, I really miss night and rainy races.
I'm absolutely sick of Final Fantasy semi-interactive movies - oh, excuse me, games. Aside from Dragon Quest I'm pretty much done with JRPGs - I think Eternal Sonata was the last straw, though.

Re: What are you playing?
I recently acquired a ps2, so I picked up Kingdom Hearts 2. Good so far, but too many damn cutscenes.

Re: What are you playing?
I hate when people bitch about long cutscenes. Metal Gear Solid is one of the best movie franchises ever.

Re: What are you playing?
Let's just say I didn't play Final Fantasy X to randomly engage in monotonous battles. I play for the storyline and the cutscenes. It's like an interactive extended movie.
As far as a game - well, that would be rather mediocre. Would you play a game that featured no storyline, but rather a random sequence of turn-based battles? I think not.
