 Re: Steam games.
There's a big sale tonight, lasting until July 4th. I bought the Guild Wars Trilogy, Ghostbusters, Overlord Complete Pack, Beyond Good & Evil, and The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. $51 dollars. Well worth it.

 Re: Steam games.
I picked up the THQ pack back during the holiday sale for I think the same price. You gotta love these random-ass mega-sales, because the prices are just completely unbeatable. Too bad I'm broke right now and have way more games than I need anyway lol.

 Re: Steam games.
Counter-Strike: Source is only $6.80. Too bad it fucking sucks. The ground is always littered with shit, and I always walk into it and get stuck.

 Re: Steam games.
Wait, what.
As in, are you joking about getting stuck all the time, or what?

 Re: Steam games.
No, like there would be a car or a barrel or a crate on the ground, right in the middle of fucking nowhere - where there was nothing like it in the original map - and when you walk into it (say, diagonally, holding 'a' and 's'), you don't just slide off - your guy just literally refuses to move at all.
Also, whenever you crouch, you have to wait to get up. Realism != fun, if that even qualifies as realism.
The whole game is simply inferior. It was much better when it was just "Counter-Strike 1.6, but with better graphics."

 Re: Steam games.
Well, now we have two actually different CS games. More fun for all!
Also, if you think that's bad, you should see how much fun it is when your ELBOW got stuck on say, a doorframe in Modern Warfare 2 while you're running. Or on the tiniest ANGLED edge of a car. I haven't run into any problem like that with CS:S yet, but then again, I kind of look at what's around me before running into it. The significantly lowered crouching/standing up time and your slow-as-a-fucking-snail walking speed while crouched kind of annoyed me though, for sure, but not enough to be game-breaking, I just see at as something to get used to.

 Re: Steam games.
I do, but I sort of take note of what obstacles there are, and generally don't run into them like a nub. JUST SAYING.

 Re: Steam games.
Well, surely, you must be better at Counter-Strike than I am, of course.

 Re: Steam games.
Maybe better at spacial orientation or whatever you'd call it, but definitely not better at CS itself.
I think I just kind of take in where everything is at because playing Modern Warfare has made me really conscious of objects you can use for cover.

 Re: Steam games.
I just got the Max Payne collection, and last night I got the Introversion pack and Indigo Prophecy. My total is now over 70 dollars for the past 4 days.
