Just read the first several issues of The Sandman written by Neil Gaiman. This is pretty much my first foray into the 'comic book' realm of graphic novels (aside from Death: The High Cost of Living, which turned me on to The Sandman), but I'm really excited to read this throughout Spring Break this week. There goes my research paper...

I'm almost caught up on Billy Bat, the most recent epic manga by Naoki Urasawa. Unfortunately, I can't find any chapters past 32 online. This series is shaping up to be quite interesting and will undoubtedly be just the sort of thing I like - a long, epic, conspiracy-laden story with dozens of well-developed characters and great twists.

I ended up acing that 30 minute research paper. +1 for public schooling. Also, I'm not sure if squirrelfiend's avatar is Iori or not, but I start reading I"s again anyway.

Here's the list of Manga I be rollin' on:

One Piece (Hell yes. I love it.)
Naruto (I have to agree a bit with Jolmes on the serialization point.)
Bleach (It kinda pissed me off when it became DBZ with swords, but it has some potential again, now that Ichigo isn't Super-Shinigami lvl. 4)
Hajime no Ippo (Boxing! =D The fights take way too long to set up, and I wish the story could progress faster. It doesn't even feel like it's past its halfway point yet and there's over 900 chapters. )
Beelzebub (It's pretty interesting; has an anime out now. Total shounen. Oga is a lot like Ichigo, but dumber.)
Gantz (Extremely badass, but I'm taking a break from it because 2 week intervals between chapters is killing me...I'm impatient.)

I need to read Berserk some time, since I enjoyed the anime; however, I don't want to get hooked on something that isn't complete. I'd rather just read a shit ton of something and be done with it so I'm not hung up on it week after week.

My recent read is Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa. It's about this 40-something construction worker who decides he's horribly dissatisfied with his life and makes conscious efforts to reach out to the people around him to give his life some kind of meaning.

He ends up beating the shit out of some middle-schoolers. Check it out.

After going ages without reading any manga I've started on Yume De Aetara. Since it seems like a lot of series are back online I need to catch up with Billy Bat, too.
