Re: What are you playing?
Lately, I've been playing Soul Silver (slowly), Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (Even more slowly), and STREET FIGHTA FOH'. I got a Madcatz Standard Edition fight stick, ordered some Sanwa parts and switched them out. Feels so slick. Once I get the art on there (it's going to be Darkstalkers themed), I'll post a picture of it.

Re: What are you playing?
Well, I bought Persona 4 last week, and I haven't touched FFXIII since. I freakin love this game.

Re: What are you playing?
I love WoW, but for me, it's more of a game I play to have fun with friends/have some fun with PvP. When I played FF11 (I didn't get too far, but I got to one of the "worst" parts of the game: leveling in the Dunes,) I felt like I was in a completely different world. In WoW, there's times where I can get pretty into it, mainly in PvP, but when I do PvE, I just feel like I'm trying to hit the next level when I'm soloing, which is 90% of the time since everyone is level 80 already.
So there's a ton of the game you've just never even seen? Crazy.

Re: What are you playing?
Just got Guitar Hero 5. Mii Freestyle is now tons of fun as opposed to World Tours, which was pretty bare bones. You can save a mii freestyle jam and rerecord parts, plus you can play with lighting and stage effects with the DS interactivity. Party play is great because no failing = more playing = more fun. Now when I play Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch (drums) on expert, I don't fail at 98% from the big finish. Leaderboards is pretty neat, if it was in World Tour, I didn't notice it. I was surprised to see myself in 35th place or whatever on some songs and I've only been playing the game today. I certainly won't be putting up any expert difficulty scores for fucking Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm, holy shit... Some serious stick mastery is needed for those sweeping tom-tom beats. I can't even begin. GHTunes music studio does sound better too, though I only checked it and the user created content briefly. I thought I read somewhere that you could import created songs from WT into this version? I haven't found the button yet if it is possible, but I did find the WT songs and DLC migration. I think I'll stick with the drum kit I still have, the new one doesn't look like a huge improvement.

Re: What are you playing?
Great, so now both Persona 4 and Final Fantasy XIII are kicking my ass. Since when did Final Fantasy games actually become DIFFICULT!? I don't think I've ever died so many times in a RPG before...

Re: What are you playing?
Haha yeah, the bosses can get difficult. I stopped playing right at about chapter 13, lost motivation. I have to go back and beat it soon.

I just started chapter 10 and I'm sooooo bored. I picked up the game again on Monday for the first time in weeks.

I took a week long break from it. I haven't been bored, but it's a little hard to get into the flow of things with this game for me. That, and the bosses just keep kicking my ass. Especially does damn summons.

Re: What are you playing?
I'm not trying to sound like an ass or anything, but I think that game is cheese so far, even the bosses. But, like you said, the Eidolon battles can be a pain in the ass. Actually, they are a pain in the ass. Every time.

Yeah, it's a little too "anime" for me as well. The game is just too damn campy in general.

SXSW?
I wish. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away March 21, and the receiving was in Texas where he lived. If I'm lucky I might get to go to Hawaii and bury his remains in a punch bowl in August, which I suppose is some kind of Hawaiian custom.

One thing I absolutely can't stand from Final Fantasy games are the characters' wacky costume designs. It's like.... why?! Let's go back to FFIII please. I guess most RPG games suffer from this, though..
