I cringe a little bit when I hear people say "Super Smash Brothers Mee-lee" rather than "may lay."

My old friend, who was indubitably brilliant at the study of literature, and scored perfectly on his verbal SAT's, pronounced it [muh-[b]lee[/b]] until I corrected (and embarrassed) him. This was long before the game existed, but still relevant. We had a comparably impressive vocabulary, although he read fiction aplenty (I will acknowledge that reading improves one's vocabulary), while I read SparkNotes...sometimes (proving that reading is completely unnecessary for a good vocabulary). Score one for the non-readers.

My vocabulary has gone to shit since I went to that school after high school - I can't remember the word right now - because I don't read many books anymore.

God, the disputes we had over this word when the game came out. Kind of like pronouncing "Mana" as "manna" or "monna".

I mean, it was aparent when I first heard of it.
Maybe its because during the day all we watched were
WWE and DBZ.

I finally noticed how fucking ridiculous Ike's hit priority is. Shit's annoying when you're attacking first, but his attack just trumps yours and he takes zero damage.

Yeah, but there's the nine hours between telling Ike to attack, and then him attacking.

I trash him with most characters, but actually lost to one of my friends who's not as good as me when I used Pokemon Trainer against him. Not that Pokemon Trainer is that good.

No, at the time, we were smart, intelligent junior high kids who knew exactly what we were talking about.

Ike is ridiculous. I like to use him, but won't play him if my opponent uses certain fast characters(like Fox or Falco, for instance), because of the whole year-long delay between attack and excecution with Ike.
