I use search&destroy, adware and a german virus scan program called antivir-which works for all operating systems that aren't win 95 and is free.
What I would do if my computer had like every virus/trojan/worm/spyware under the sun is back up everything I wanted to keep (which you should do regularly any ways), bleach my hard drive, reinstall. start fresh and maintain it better the next time around.
NORTON KILLS MORE COMPUTERS THEN IT SAVES. xD xD xD
there is no learning... all operating systems act the same. it's like how there is no spoon. a lot of technophobes get scared when they see linux in front of them but don't realize that the start menu is most likely in the same place and functions in the exact same way...
there is a slight hurdle with respect to like.. drivers... but that's because a lot of drivers had to be hax0red into existence because companies won't release drivers for linux 90% of the time.
this is what i mean... for a general user, hunting for drivers isn't worth the time and effort.
