I've been watching Boardwalk Empire, and I've gotta say it's pretty sweet. Not sure if it's 5 Emmys good though. |

The new girl with Zooey...it's okay. Raising hope..from the two episodes i've ever watched. The show is more about the family than hope herself. Um pretty much don't watch shit unless my brothers are watching the tv. |

Not sure if it's 5 Emmys good though.[/quote] I've watched a bit more of the show, and after reading an article which equated the show to an empty suit, I agreed with it somewhat--that there's a lot going on in this show, but it doesn't really feel as though there's a whole lot of substance to it. It's as though you're going for a ride and you don't know where the road is going to take you. On further reflection, I think this show does a good job of portraying life as it actually may have been during the 1920's. As a result, I feel like I'm getting a much more intimate understanding of that time period even though it's through the (fictional) lives of gangsters. It's done enough too inspire me looking into the time period more deeply than the meager education I've received about it so far. |

I haven't really been watching any tv shows lately. Watch an ep of the Colbert Report here and there, that's about it atm though. |

Just checked out the first episode of Terra Nova. It seems promising. The concept sounded ridiculous at first. We fucked up the environment, so let's go back in time to start over! But it's actually via a time rift (cause unknown) so that makes it a little more interesting, and there's hints of subplots. Some cheesy character dynamics though. Yay, another stereotypical rebellious teenage boy. Hopefully he'll actually develop as a character, otherwise he's going to be really annoying. |

Wow, no one here has been watching Breaking Bad? I thought I was the only person on the planet. I've been watching reruns of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (nothing new) and the MLB playoffs. |
